Actually made this purchase predicated upon earlier reviews, and I was not disappointed...This fireplace screen is all that and more...As has been stated it is very substantial and in place, as attractive. One additional note...it will work for a large fireplace as well...The illustration does not serve it much justice...

This product is not cheaply made and is solid. I wanted a fireplace screen becuase we have a 16 month old to protect. This screen is heavy and solid enough that he cannot open the doors, or turn it over ,or pull it from the fireplace. Furthermore it looks really nice in our home. It looks like a piece of ART. It required very little assembly just a few screws to tighten. Overall this was an excellent choice.

I ordered this screen on the basis of the other reviewer's comments.
She was right. This screen looks much better than the picture and is sturdy and well-made. I bought it to hide an insert that we installed in my fireplace. This screen hides the insert and makes my living room look 'classy' again. Yes, it is more pricey than the others, but well worth the money.

This Fire Screen is beautiful. It is heavy and very well constructed. Seemed a little pricey but once I received it I felt it was worth every cent. Much nicer than anything I found in local stores.
