I loved it when it worked but I bought 2 plugs and both stopped working within a month.

It did not work , I have touch lamps on my desk and love them .so I thought I would try this , I did return them.

I have a reading lamp that I just love, that originally had a touch on/off feature that cycled through three wattage levels while using a regular bulb. When the bulb blew, the touch sensor was frozen in the open position. As I really love the lamp, I was invested in figuring out how to make this little gizmo work for me.
Tip 1: The directions say it takes a while to settle in. They are not kidding. Plug it in and play for a day before deciding you don't like it.
Tip 2: My lamp sits on a metal table, and has a metal base. After putting a pad under the lamp, the switch works consistently.
Tip 3: The first two days, the lamp would randomly turn on in the middle of the night. It has only happened once in the two months since the first week.

I was really interested and bought two, b/c we have two light fixtures where the on/off switch is so awkwardly placed that we usually resort to pulling the plug out or plug it back in every time we need the light on or off.
It didn't work most of the time and when it did, it flickered constantly that it was more distracting than helpful. It might have been that I didn't use it right or our lamps weren't all metal. I don't know if that makes a difference.

A superb product that's so easy, even I could use it. I plugged my lamp into the dimmer, plugged the dimmer into the outlet, and VOILA !! My lamp is now a touch-lamp. You only need to use a regular bulb (no 3-ways or 2-ways). The dimmer does the work. Nothing to screw ino the bulb socket. Just plug and go. Makes great stocking stuffers.

We were excited to learn about this little plug-in light control.
Our antique floor lamp doesn't have a light switch, so we were trying to avoid constantly plugging and unplugging the cord to/from the outlet.
The delivery wasn't very fast, took more than a week.
When the unit arrived, it worked straight out of the box and everything seemed to be OK. but several hours later the light started to turn off and on but itself at random intervals. Two mornings later I found the light on - it turned on by itself at night. That's not good.
This is when it's very nice to have a local HomeDepot store - the return was easy and quick. I have no problems with HomeDepot, but this product did not work for us.

I used this switch to convert a tall floor lamp for the convenience of an elderly user. Ordering went without a hitch, the switch was deliivered promptly and I simply plugged the switch into the wall, then the lamp into the switch and the lamp works perfectly. Can't think of anything that would have made it better, and the price was great, as well.

After an exhausted searh for a touch on/off lamp and came up empty I decided to check with Home Depot. Once again my needs were answered at a much lower cost because I did not have to buy a new lamp. My ninety one year old Mother with arthretic hands was very appreciative. In fact I am purchasing another one for her.
