Drywall and Panel Hoist

The PRO-SERIES Drywall and Panel Hoist is a heavy duty drywall tool with construction grade cables and a welded steel frame. It has a 150 lb. weight capacity and supports sheets up to 16 ft. long. With built-in roling casters, this panel hoist allows the user to easily move sheets of drywall into position. No Tools are required to assemble this unit, enabling you to be up and running in no time. This unit is much more heavy duty than many others on the market because we know that you want safety, stability and dependability on your jobs and projects. One person can easily load and operate the heavy-duty drywall panel hoist. Use the 6 ft. extension Model DWHE6 (not included) for reaching higher areas.

Let me start by saying that I was more than pleasantly surprised at the quality of this lift. I had already bought one of those cheap two hundred dollar lifts a while back and had nothing but issues, cables jumping off of the crooked pulley, terrible welds, you get the picture. In fairness, it did do the job but not as well as it could and I was never confident using it. I ended up getting rid of it for a number of reasons.
Of course I found myself needing to do more sheet rocking and decided to look for a better, but still cheaper version. I came across this unit and at that time HD had it for sixty dollars less. Since it was online I wasn’t sure how this would be but the reviews were decent.
Once I took this out for the box I could instantly tell this was a much more solid item. The overall build quality was night and day. Right off the bat I could see that all of the pulleys were welded straight, the wheel that lifts the unit is about double the thickness as is the support beam. There are nice locking knobs for the legs and the outriggers. And the cable is much thicker on this unit which gave me a much greater level of confidence. Now this isn’t a Telpro, but it is pretty darn close. The casters look a bit cheap but honestly work fine, so take that for what it’s worth.
There is no building involved and the unit is shipped complete. You assemble it just like you would one of the ones you rent. The main mast slides into the tripod legs, the outriggers slide into place on the mast and you are ready to go in just a few minutes.
Just a few last thoughts, If you only have a room or two to do, renting is probably the best bet since you can do that with a single day rental. But any more than that and you can recoup your money by taking your time and dong it at your own pace. Honestly this is one of the better quality purchases for the price.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A bit rough at the edges but meets the need for volunteers hanging ceiling drywall in Habitat homes, at the price a good value. 5 days rental of an identical lift pays for it. Would recommend for light duty use.

It was easy to assemble. It took me 10 minutes to put together right out of the box. and it comes apart for easy transporting and storage. Once you have drywall up where you want it on ceiling the locking lever worked perfectly. I should have bought this years ago. My back would of been much happier

After my nail guns, this hoist is the best back-and-shoulder-saver I have ever purchased. So far it has exceeded my expectations. There are a few minor additions I would make (wheel locks, tilt lock, more locking holes on extention arms), but thus far I am very satisfied.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Purchased this hoist so that I could complete my drywalling project in my basement. Working with 12 foot drywall sheets, and had no problem getting the sheets to the ceiling. The only issue I can see is that you have to use a little muscle when getting the drywall sheets onto the hoist due to the height of the hoist itself.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I used this thing twice the crank handle bent because it is not welded very well. The extention handles do not touch the drywall 8 ft or 12. I would not buy this drywall jack. You are wasting you money unless you just want to use it once.

I Purchased this hoist to hang drywall in our 1,400 sq. foot basement. Since we were tackling the project over Thanksgiving weekend I didn't want to mess with renting and the $299 price and free s/h made the purchase a no brainer. Since my friends/family have several projects coming up this hoist will pay for itself long term.
It is VERY easy to assemble and operate. Getting the panels up on the hoist is a piece of cake, as is getting them positioned on your ceiling. Once in place, the hoist holds them securely making the task of hanging drywall about as worry and hassle free as it can be. Once your project is done, the hoist disassembles just as easily and doesn't take up a ton of space in the garage while it waits for its next project.
The product appears to be very well made and very durable and I anticipate it will be able to handle all of the drywall projects of my family and friends in the future.
I highly recommend this product to anyone in the market for a drywall hoist. Buy it, use it and you won't reget it.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Worked as advertised and as other reviewers said. Worth every penny just for the ceiling alone. Made it a one man job; easy to use. Good for jobs big and small. Saves back aches, head aches, the wife can go shopping while you work, gets the job done in one third the time, less sweat and you don't have to go to church for all the cussin' afterwards.
Easy to assemble, a little on the heavy side but tears down easily and manageable to transport in the truck, SUV, van or even a station wagon.
BUY IT, YOU WON'T BE SORRY - rent to friends later on, get some of your money back.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I got this for my husband to put up the drywall in the basement. Without help he was easily able to put the drywall on the ceiling. THis tool moves very easily and works so well--why would you pay for a person to help you when you can buy a tool for less that does the job more quiclky and cheaper? Wonderful investment.

I am a female and I found this product to be very easy to set up and take down. I did a living room ceiling by myself and it worked great. The only drawback I seen is that loading the sheetrock onto the hoist is a little too high and ackward but once its up there it makes the installation on ceilings wonderful.

I recently installed a ceiling in a room with just an 8' ceiling. This tool made the process very easy and much quicker than having other people hold the drywall, not to mention I didn't have to feed or pay them either. It comes apart into five pieces to easily be transported in the trunk of my compact car. Assembles in approx two minutes, disassembly is just as fast. I hae alot of work to do with this tool. I hope it holds up to the test of time.
Yes, I recommend this product.
