Will not clean shower walls unless you use the small nylon brush and scrub hard with it. Will not clean shower floor. A rotating brush would make it clean better, which this steam clearner does not have.

I bought the tool in order to clean the greasy buildup around my stove. Cleaned the microwave very well, but the grease needed some pre-cleaning before the steam cleaner could make a difference. The cleaner spews more water than I would like, but overall, it does a good job. When I used it in the bathroom on the grout, the steam cleaned it right away. Just keep the head/nozzle close to the areas you are trying to clean...

Steam cleaner worth the money

I have had this steamer for a few months now and have used it a number of times. The steamer provides a nice amount of time between fill-ups (30-45 minutes of steam) and provides the power necessary to properly clean whatever it is you're cleaning.
Some things to watch out for:
1) The black tube gets rather hot (obviously, but just be aware).
2) Sometimes a bit of water can build up between steaming cycles, so it's best to point it toward something that won't get damaged by water until you're sure there's no water build-up inside the tube. I'm not sure this type of thing can be avoided since the steam will condense to water when not in use.
3) I'd recommend against using this on carpets. I tried this on a throw rug and the underside was wet. I'm not sure how well carpet would dry out.

Other than those items to watch out for above, the steamer is awesome for cleaning hard-floors, showers, sinks, tubs, toilettes, etc. Pretty much anything that won't get damaged by getting wet. It's steam, so the item you are cleaning will get wet (even saturated if you're not careful). If used properly, you'll be quite pleased. The steamer almost completely eliminates your need for chemical cleaners.
