One of my Rotozips disappeared on a jobsite. HD's website had a Dewalt cutout tool + a drywall driver for slightly more than a new Rotozip. The driver is same model as the others I have which all do a fine job. The cutout tool is okay but I like the feel of a Rotozip better and will probably end up with a new one.

I was looking to buy a drill and a router, and I was amazed that I could get both got the price I did. I do some drywall work for the Kingdom Hall I attend and it did the job. My wife had never used a router before and she totally loved it. I may need to buy one for my self. Really good tools. The router bit kept coming loose, but I figured out it was the way she was using it, After she got it it didnt come loose again.

Works great and saves time on big drywall jobs. The screw gun is exacly as nice as I expect. The roto cutout tools only (and important) down-side, is the tightening mechanism. It is not very "user-friendly" to press the two buttons and twist in the manner needed to chuck the tool in tightly, which causes the bit to come loose occaisionally during cuts.

I came across this combo kit at my local HD for $79.99. I used the screw gun to hang about 30 sheets of drywall. Takes a few screws to get used to it, but after that it worked great. The adjusting head allows you to set the screws correctly and it leaves a nice dimple for the mud. The gun is also pretty light (compared to my cordless) which was nice when hanging the drywall on the ceiling.
This cutout tool works good and if you can get it on sale in the combo pack it is a great deal. I cut out 3 recessed cans and 6 outlets no problem. I would suggest getting a bit with the guide tip.

It appears to work very well and has very good speed. The only problem I can see is the adjustment for depth for the screw gun appears tricky to get it set at the right depth. I got it at a great price one day when I was at hoemdepot and it was on a bargain table as a combo set.

I needed to do an entire room full of drywall and in the past I've just used my cordless drill...I used to just be really careful to set the head of the screw just below the surface of the drywall (but not ripping the paper)...with slow speed like that, the heads sometimes snap off the screws.... Not with this tool!
I came home and within the first few screws I was smiling ear to ear. It is intimidating using a drywall screwdriver for the first time beacuse you lock the trigger ON, but once you use it for 30 seconds you'll get it....For the money, I'm absolutely hooked! Other reviews elsewhere warn that the black nose piece on the Dewalts are plastic...this one IS NOT PLASTIC... it seems to be painted cast aluminum and has the same adjustability and depth settings that the model above this one.
Regarding the locking mechanism on the cut-out tool: It is a bit clunky in its operation, but t does allow for tool less bit changes. The diagram on the tool itself makes it seem like you need to press both buttons at the same time... which isnt really the case. Button #1 is the spindle lock, so press the button in and rotate the spindle by hand until the button actually locks the spindle...then button #2 is just a hex shaped collar that just gets squeezed around the spindle nut. The collar is basically the wrench that you operate with your fingers. it's a simple design that works and I havent had any probles with the bit loosening.
If I had one "complaint" it would be that the trigger is labled as "rubber coated" in the description...it isnt...it's just black plastic. No big deal.
Even if you only have 1 rooms worth of drywall to hang, do yourself a favor and pick this up...you'll be glad you did!
