Not So Much,

"I purchased this freezer 6 months ago and at first, loved it. However, yesterday we found that it was off and would not turn on. I had plenty of food that was completely spoiled, not to mention the clean up involved with melted ice cream and hamburger blood. Still under warranty, a technician came and said it has a bad control panel. I don't know if this is typical for this model or GE, but I think it is not a quality product if a major component, like the control panel, goes out after only six months. On a good note, at least all of it is being covered by the first year warranty... who knows what will happen when the warranty expires."

"I HAVE JUST PURCHASED THIS FREEZER ON AUG. 1 2009 & WAS DELIVERED ON AUG.5, SO FAST DELIVERY TIME. I HAVE BUT ONLY ONE COMPLAINT WITH THIS FREEZER & THAT IS THE CORD FOR THE FREEZER IS ENTIRELY TOO SHORT. OTHER WISE I REALLY LOVE THIS FREEZER. IT'S QUIET, SMALL ENOUGH YET VERY SPACIOUS INSIDE, GREAT PRICE & LOVE THE FACT THAT ITS FROST FREE. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FREEZER TO ANYBODY."

"This is the second time that I am buying this freezer, I have one in my main residence and now one in my summer cottage.
It is frost-free and not overly large, so it's fits into a relatively small space.
The shelving is sleek and clean looking and the shelving on the doors is very efficient, also small drawers at the bottom are perfect for extra gallons of ice cream.

"great freezer for the price especially when on sale with defered financing! all that was expected, i stayed away from a similar kenmore due to noise concerns, although it seems this one is also noisy. we have it in our florida room so noise isn't a concern! would highly recommend except for noise factor!"

"This is a great Freezer. When it was delivered they plugged it in,made sure it was level and set on the right temperature. Within a short period of time it was ready to load. It seems to be fairly quite. Looks good. Plenty of room for lots of items. The price and the service I got was very reasonable.

"A good brand name. The door shelves and the bottom basket have more storage space than expected. The online picture of this freezer does not really show how spacious 13.7 cubic feet can be. The interior light is ample, the digital control on the outside is neat. The unit we received runs very quiet, so I have to wonder if there are variations in the manufacturing process that can cause some units to be more noisy. We don't need the lock, but will keep it with the manual in case we ever sell it and get a larger one."

"I purchased this freezer online and am not disappointed in it at all. Delivery was on time, setup perfect and it is running like a charm. This GE replaced a 28 year old GE freezer except this one is frost free which I love. It is amazing how much more room there is without the ice buldup. I would recommend Home Depot and GE again."

"This freezer was a great price. Delivery was fast, efficient. It was ready to be used in about 2 1/2 hours. But, it is way too noisy for its size. It is in my basement and I can hear it running though the vents, in my upstairs bedroom. And it whistles every time you close the door. Going to try for a service call and see if at least the whistling can be stopped. Disappointed. Have not had very good luck with GE stuff. The noise of this unit is making me reconsider the entire brand."

"Delivery was on time but set up was marginal (had to level myself). Instructions were short, easy to read, and on point for each subject (setup, care, etc.) Ready to use in 4 hours (expected it to be 24 minimum).

"I am a single female and this freezer is perfect! I absolutely love the size. I was a little skeptical about getting a 2nd freezer, especially since it is just me but I was always running out of room in my main refrigerator/feezer. I love to pick up the frozen items that are on special at my grocery store when they are super cheap to stock up and now I can so I know it's going to save me money. Honestly it's eliminated a lot of unnecessary concern of wondering "will this much fit in my freezer"... sounds silly but it's true."

"This is the first stand-alone freezer we pruchased but have observed others through family and work.
This is a nice little freezer for the price. I like the electronic control on the door and the alarms.
Especially important to us is not having to manually defrost. It is a little noisy but not disturbingly so to us. I guess "loud" is relative to what you are used to. It sits in our kitchen and we are quite happy with it."

"We bought this freezer to replace one that had a meltdown. This is the LOUDEST freezer I have ever heard. We put in the laundry room where the other unit was and it will keep you awake at night. It cycles on and off frequently. We have placed rubber pads under the legs of the unit which has reduced some of the noise. I would not recommed this unit unless you are putting it in the garage."
