Customer reviews for 32 in. x 81 in. Pressure-Treated Wood Screen Door

32 in. x 81 in. Pressure-Treated Wood Screen Door

This Timberline 32 in. Wood Unfinished Screen Door is made of rustic pressure-treated Ponderosa pine using mortise and dowel construction for sturdiness. The door is 1-1/8 in. thick for solid strength and has a fiberglass screen to help keep pests out. This door can be trimmed with woodcutting tools. (Tools and hardware sold separately.)

I bought two of these doors to replace old ones on my porch. They face north, and so the old doors got wet and wouldn't dry out. Installation was easy, the appearance good, and the lack of finger joints a key plus in my application. I'm hopeful the pressure treated wood, together with a good sealant, will last more than a few years. The removable screen allowed for easy application of the sealant.

I was absolutely thrilled when my new screen door appeared at my front door--how convenient is that! The delivery truck brought the screen to me and I didn't have to worry about getting it home. The door is very well made--looks extremely sturdy. The screen is the best part--it is a unit that can be unscrewed so that painting the screen will be very easy. I am incredibly pleased with this product from Home Depot and would not hesitate ordering things from the online store in the future.

This screen door is well built with dowel construction, pressure treated lumber, re moveable screen for staining or if it ever needs to be replaced. Most screen doors are made by piecing together several small pieces of wood that are finger jointed together. This type of construction does not hold up over time. My previous screen door was this type and it lasted two years. This door will last several years. Well worth the money!

No, I do not recommend this product.
the door is warped and will not stay against the door frame without being latched. The description did not mention that the door has a "presentation" side and a not so pretty side. The screen is fastened differently than any wooden screen door I have ever seen. If there is a hole, I will have to replace the entire screen.

Junk - Do Not Buy!

No, I do not recommend this product.
This door looks great in the pictures but it is terribly built and cheap. First the poor design - the inside screen is one piece and there is nowhere to push the door open that isn't screen, meaning eventually the screen will get torn. Second the cheap construction - the door was warped out of the box and is getting worse. If you want a flat door that will close the same way at the top as the bottom, this door isn't for you. They also used a split piece of wood on the bottom piece.

5-Star rating for the door, but somewhere it needs to say: "Hardware not included. Hardware sold separately."

No, I do not recommend this product.
I will probably never buy another. Too many defects in the workmanship. This is the second door I have gotten. The first had manufacturing defects. This one has defects too, to a lesser extent.
