Excellent Dryer?,

"This dryer has an excellent capacity and fits a large bed comforter quite well.
It can be a bit noisy for some who do not have a seperate laundry room in the garage or one with a solid closable door.
It's drying time is about average and sometimes has to be run twice if a large load is being dried. It does however greatly out perform my old electric dryer which was excessively noisy and seemed to almost always require me to run an extra dry cycle to fully dry a large load of towels."

Thump Thump Thump,

"My old maytag dryer died after about 12 years. I decided to stay loyal to Maytag, so I bought this one (note: I think Maytag is now owned by whirlpool). When I first turned it on it would make a loud thump sound with every turn of the drum. This is different than the normal, initial thumping sound described in the owners manual that may occur for a short time while the drum rollers "unflatten" themselves after having been stored in the same position for awhile before purchase.
I had a repairman come out. He pulled the drum out and said nothing is really wrong, and that it is just the way the seam is welded is the drum. It sticks up slightly and every time is crosses a roller..... THUMP. I just wonder how long it will be (after the warranty expires of course) until the rollers wear out prematurely after, say, about 50,000 THUMPS!!!.
Bottom line: they just don't make things how they used to."

"This dryer comes with the level 1 soundproofing so it is a bit noisy - you'd have to buy the larger machine to get the better level 2 soundproofing.
Also this machine does not have a permanent press cycle.
Cloths dried on the casual setting with the wrinkle guard turned on still come out wrinkled and need to be ironed.
Delivedry was on time and installtion team was excellant."
