Great machine,

"Have had this dryer 1 week. Works great. Installers did a fantastic job, including reversing the direction for the door opening.
2 items to note: Fiirst, a week after delivery, the price is $31 less. Keep an eye out for sales on this machine. Even so, it's a good price.
Second: The door handle is a bit hard to grip. Kids can't open it, which could be a pro, but if you have difficulty with your hands for any reason, might be tough to open.
Otherwise, love having the lint trap on top. The inside is huge and drys a ton. We use it with our front-load washer, which really compress the clothes, but clothes come out of this dryer smooth and do not shrink. Good heat regulation, and I think the large size gives the clothes room to dry without wrinkles."

"I got this dryer during 2009 Thanksgiving sale at a very good price (~$350). I had it for about one month and I've had no problem whatsoever. It is spacious and quiet. There are numerous options to dry clothes yet the menu is clear and easy to use. So far so good, I'll wait for another six months to see how it'd perform then."

"Not only did we get a great deal on this Maytag, but the dryer is even better than I imagined. The huge drum gives me clothes that are quickly dried, softer and without wrinkles. It is so quiet we do not even know when it is on. The delivery men were extremely courteous, respectful and friendly, making sure everything ran correctly before they left. .I am extremely satisfied."

"I am so impressed with this dryer, I had to write a review. This dryer is the best one I have ever owned. The dryer drum is huge! It dries clothes very fast even on the energy saving setting. My clothes are alot softer. I love having a light in the dryer. That is a huge plus for me. The control knobs are padded & very easy to grip. You can not go wrong with this dryer. I love it! The men that delivered it were on time and very nice. They were very careful with the way they handled my dryer & how they transported it through the house. Home Depot gets an A+"

"No problems whatsoever with this Maytag dryer and none foreseen. It will hold anything normal that a household could offer with ease. The controls are simple and easy to understand. After just moments of reading the basics it was up and running. Heats up quickly and runs smooth and quiet. That pesky missing sock syndrome is virtually eliminated by the nice bright (but not annoying) light that comes on when the door is opened. Our room location required the dryer have a left hinged door so the great Home Depot delivery guys switched the reversible door to open that way with no problem. We're very satisfied with this product and the Home Depot service. Buy with confidence."

"We just bought this when our other one conked out. My only complaint is the lint trap being on the top of the dryer so that little lint pieces fly everywhere when you clean it off. Installation was great, other than they conned me into getting the install package and after showing it to a plumber, found out that we didn't actually need it like they told me we did. Otherwise, runs well. Huge capacity, and love the light in the dryer."

"My old dryer had all the bells and whistles on it. So I was not sure that this dryer would be as good as the older one. Don't let this keep you from purchasing this great product. I am so glad I did not spend more money on the higher end ones. This dryer is marvelous. Delivery was on time and no hassle. The delivery guys are professional and quick. Our clothes come out soft and dry. The one thing I have to get used to is the door. I am used to a drop down door. This opens sideways. But I notice that very few dryers have a drop down door now. Wonder why."

"So far this Maytag is doing a great job. It is a very basic dryer - not to many bells/whistles but enough to get the job done. It heats very hot and fast - I would recommend using the low heat setting as to not waste energy and not shrink anything that might. Great dryer for the price and the delivery and pick-up by Home Depot was much appreciated and worth the fee."

"Large capacity ensures "soft dry" to clothes, quiet, does not overdry. I like the drum light, which I had thought was un-needed but realize is a great feature. The filter is easy to get at on the top of the dryer and is not easily pulled out when unloading clothes as our last dryer problem. Delivery was prompt, installation quick and clean. I would recommend it to anyone."

"I am very pleased with the Maytag gas dryer recently purchased from Home Depot, along with the excellent delivery service. My clothes feel softer and dry in less time. The convenient lint trap being on the top of the dryer saves getting lint on your clothes when removing from dryer. Draw back? You have to clean the lint that may spill from the trap onto the top of the dryer instead of the floor! Seriously, the lint trap on top is a wonderful idea!"

"So far I like the dryer except for one thing. I don't like the lint filter on top of the dryer. When you pull it out, lint gets all over the place, and it also falls back into the dryer. When it falls into the dryer i don't know how to get it out."

"I researched gas dryers and found that this particular brand & model did very well with Consumer Reports. It's large (7 Cu Ft) and drys clothes well. When we use the 'Energy Preferred' setting, some clothes are still damp. All in all though it consistently drys well. Noise is moderate.
Ordered the dryer online (free shipping) and it came within days. Installers were cordial, professional and installed/tested the dryer for us."
