I'm in the process of updating my bathrooms including replacing the toilets. After reading many reviews, I settled on the Kohler Cimarron. The installation was straight forward and simple enough even for me, a person with no experience in installing toilets. It took me approximately 30 minutes after I had removed the old toilet. The one thing I don't like about this toilet is the seat. It's the flimsy plastic type which given the price of this toilet $248.00 you'd expect something better. I'm completely happy with this toilet so far. The flush is fast and efficient. I have not experienced any of the "multiple flushes" some of the other reviewers mentioned. It's early yet but I am totally satisfied with the exception of the included seat. I'm installing a second one tomorrow in our main bathroom.

bought these from home depo three years ago two of them bolth are broken have to replace. bought american standard this time. the flush handle on one was binding and the other had a bad flapper it would run all the time

This is the second one we have purchased and hopefully, we will be able to get another one shortly. The installation was done by Baker Bros. through Home Depot and the gentlement did a great job. We certainly would use them the next time.

We purchased one Kohler Cimarron toilet to replace an old toilet that was installed in 1976. I was not sure if I would like a 1.28 gallon flush or if it would do the job I expected. We are very happy with this toilet. It has a powerful flush that surpasses my expectations and you don't have to worry that you will have to keep flushing. We are so pleased we have purchased two more to replace the other old toilets in our house---I wish I had replaced the older ones sooner.

Purchased two of these toilets (about 3 months ago) to replace the original toilets in the house. Very easy to install, the first one took about 1 hr and 15 min, because I had never installed a toilet in my life. the second only took about 45 min. Used two wax rings on each to make sure the seal was right. So far an excellent product. Clears all waste on first flush and fill very fast with little noise. I would recommend paying the price for something that works the first time out of the box. May need to adjust the flow valve though after installing, but following the instructions on the box, this is very easy to do.

Had another Kohler, similiar to this one, but it would get consistanly clogged. Researched a bettter one and discovered this model. I read reviews on this one and was impressed with comments. I've had it for over a month now and it has never once clogged. While looking, I talked with cusotmer rep in HD store, who told me the secret to a clog free toilet! He said to avoid a unit with any sharp curves in drain flow. In other words, the more gradual the drain path and/or less curves in discharge path the better it will perform! This one meets that criteria. In addition it even uses less water than my old unit!

Toilets perform much better flushing and we like the higher seat. Customer service was very good, but toilets were pulled from stock after we arrived for pickup. One box was open, which was a concern. Turned out the two toilets had different seats.

We purchased this toilet because of the wonderful reviews but were unable to actually sit on the seat because they are on display so high up. I really wish we had the chance because the seat is very uncomfortable--in that it does not lay flat but rather cups inward so when you sit down you sit "into" the hole of the seat. It is awkward feeling and really we would prefer a flatter seat. We may still buy a replacement seat. It is a quiet and powerful flush.

Since I was replacing an older style 3+ gallon per flush toilet, I was skeptical that a toilet that only uses 1.28 gallons per flush could handle the "workload". It works great, and it seems like it uses less than 1.28 gallons. It appears it is all in the design, as it channels the water in a certain way to get the waste down efficiently. Even when there is a lot of paper, it all goes down, with no particle residue. Amazing! The seat height is great too. Even though the toilet comes with a wax ring, I was glad that I bought a separate wax ring that was extra large. The one that comes with the toilet seemed a little small, and the larger one seemed to give a better fit.

This toilet has an 8-10 flush rating and I am very pleased to say it performs as expected. You need to consider the location of your bathroom and how many rooms it has to travel across before it gets to the field lines; and the higher flush rating the toilet is, the better. So this has the right amount of force to push the waste through the lines with just one flush! It also is great on water conservation. It has a good height. I am very pleased with this toilet and will buy the same model if and when I need to replace the toilet in my other bathroom.

Very haapy with this toilet, which was placed in a guest bathroom. Howver glad i read the reviews first and had an extra toilet ring on hand. The bathroom had been remodeled and with the new tile floor in place we actually had to use two rings to install the toilet properly. So if your home is older (1980s) and you are remodeling and installing a tile floor, have an extra ring on hand. Other than that it was an easy install and it looks great and works very well.

Great toilet, Great flush! I installed this a week ago and it has a very powerful flush, without a lot of noise.
I purchased a thicker wax ring for my application, and bought a different seat(the one that comes with it is CHEAP)
but i am very happy with the comfort and flush and quietness of this toilet.
It sometimes leaves skid-marks, but they are gone with the next flush.

I had an old Kohler for 20 years and it finally gave up and I knew I was going to be faced with getting the low water volume type. The flush on this toilet is terrific and you don't have to worry that you are going to keep on flushing -- it always does the trick first time. Highly recommend! The only down side is the toilet seat is plastic and rather cheap.
