This adorable Crane Cool Mist Humidifier provides additional comfort to cold symptoms, dry itchy skin, and chapped lips. The whisper-quiet humidifier won't disturb sleep and operates on low power consumption, providing a minimum of 11 hours of moisture from a removable 1 gallon water tank. It includes an automatic shut-off safety feature when the water tank is empty. The cute humidifier operates with cold tap water. Just fill the 1 gallon tank in the sink (fits most common-sized sinks) and switch the unit on. It will produce cold mist instantaneously. The mist output can be regulated with the control button located at the front.

I decided to purchase this humidifier after reading about a thousand reviews. It was rated much higher than those that cost over three times as much. So far I've been very happy with it. It lets out a consistent, very fine stream of cool mist. There is little to no noise at all. I can hardly ever tell it's on. It's best to have it on a relatively high surface since the mist doesn't project upward into the air. The condo that I live in is very dry, but now I wake up without congestion or a mucousy throat. It's greatly improved my sleep quality. Definitely follow the cleaning instructions. After about a week it will develop a thin pink layer throughout the machine as well as in the wet surfaces of the base. It's very quick and easy to clean, but you have to do it on a regular basis just like the manual tells you. I used paper towels and alcohol to wipe it down. It recommends vinegar but I didn't want to battle the smell. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive humidifier. The company that makes them has a lot of different styles, so if penguins aren't your thing, you can find other animals or just a normal teardrop shaped one :]

The cool mist is so much better for my kids (3 and 1) than hot steam. It doesn't make the room hot and allows them to sleep comfortably. The design of this steamer makes it look "appropriate" in their rooms and they love it. It's easy to fill, easy to use and cleans easily. You do need to keep a towel underneath it because by morning the carpet is damp.
This is more expensive than what I had purchased in the past at pharmacies, etc. but well worth it!
I bought the elephant for my son and the penguin for my daughter. I like the elephant better because it sends the steam up higher in the air and less on the carpet.

Perfect size for an apartment, really cute even for adults not just children. Carry handle for water tank is especially nice.

We have had one of these for over a year and recently bought another to give as a gift. We live in a cold, dry climate and have our heater or fireplace going constantly throughout the winter. This humidifier is a lifesaver to keep humidity in the house -- and the added plus is that it's a great conversation piece! It's fun and it does the job.
