The ladder itself is very sturdy. My only complaints are it is very hard to adjust alone. Almost requires two people to operate, due to design and weight.

For the most part, this has been said but I will say it again. This ladder is heavy. I can move it around when it is collapsed but when it is fully extended, forget doing it by yourself. I'm sure there are those mancho men that have no issues doing it solo but I needed two people to get it put up. With that being said, I love the height that I can get in both the extended and the A-frame positions. I took the money that it would have cost me to pay a painter for my stairwell and bought this instead and did it myself. Worth the money and now I have the ladder for future projects.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I had a tall (15-step) stairwell to paint, including high walls on 3 sides (about 12-14 feet high at highest point). It would have been impossible to reach the highest points with an ordinary step-ladder and prohibitively awkward with a regular extension ladder. This ladder was easy to use in the A-frame mode with one side fully extended, and the other side extended at any length. The wide-base made it really feel balanced no matter what configuration I was using. The spring-loaded stops are very sturdy, and it is obvious when they are locked securely in place. I was very comfortable when painting at the highest point, and could take my time and paint nice edges. My only complaint is it doesn't come with any sort of tray to hold paint. It's available, but should come with. Other than that, A+.
Yes, I recommend this product.

It is basically impossible to use this ladder without help to reach above 13 feet when considering a home in the city. I own a very typical colonial house in a very typical suburban area (just outside of the city) in Western NY. The houses are spaced very close together. I successfully extended this ladder (which clicks together solidly and securely) on my driveway. I put the ladder down, vertically aligned with my driveway. I started on the far end and started to walk it upwards with my hands. At the focal point, almost midway, the ladder becomes airborne. I suppose if I had a Olympic weight set, I could put 50 lbs on the other end of the ladder to prevent this...but I don't. I'm guessing the way around this for most folks is to push the far end of the ladder against a house and walk it up from the other end. This is impossible with my house due to the close proximity of my neighbor's house. I am 6'4", 185 lbs. I consider myself to be between average to slightly above average in physical strength. There is NO WAY to lift the ladder while it's extended unless you are, or are related to He-Man. The end result was, I got my hefty neighbor to hold down one end of the ladder and I walked it up to the the area of my roof needed. I couldn't have done it without him.

Worked great for stairwells

Worked great for what it was ordered for, painting a stairwell on slick oak treads. Worked well fully extended outdoors, very stable top and bottom, but heavy, a little hard to handle; may require two to handle fully extended. Fully extended, center pivot point was a little shaky, but overall a great ladder for the price, for multiple uses! Just amazing at what all you can do with just one ladder.

Tall enough to hang a chandelier on a 15 ft ceiling. Like the wide leg span because it made it feel really sturdy. Love to be able to adjust it to diferent heights and for different uses. Have not used it as a straight ladder yet, but so far, does not seem too heavy. You do have to watch your fingers when adusting the height, cause you can get your fingers pinched. Only problem is there is nothing to hold any tools and this would have been convenient while I was15 ft up.

The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is the weight. It is quite heavy but manageable for someone in shape. Of course you probably are in shape if you are going up a 26 foo ladder. This ladder is perfect for doing inside window and chandelier cleaning, inside painting and getting cats down from ledges. Just kidding about the last part.

First impression was that this was a pretty good deal since it is both an extension and a stepladder. Tried it as a stepladder. Works very good but pretty heavy to move. Tried to use it to take down my X-mas lights. This is NOT an extension ladder. You have to lay it down and extend it all the way. Then you have to figure out how to get it vertical without breaking something since it is now top-heavy. Once you have it up on your house it is very unwieldy to move because it is so heavy and extended all the way! I have worked with fiberglass extension ladders for a long time and this thing is not what I expected. To recap, good stepladder but not good for anything really tall.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I needed a tall ladder to change the light fixture in my 2-story high entry and to paint the high walls of my living and dining rooms. This will do nicely, but I will need help to set it up. I am only 5'2" and just don't have the strength to set it up alone.

This is a very heavy duty ladder - it is also a very heavy ladder. When it is fully extended, it takes two large people to get it in place. It is quite stable in all of its configurations.

Really like the ladder. Well built, great features, and I feel safe at 2 story level. However, it's definitely heavy at about 55 lbs - getting it up in the fully extended step ladder position is no small feat. I wonder how much titanium would raise the cost. I would be willing to pay more for less weight. Overall I am satisfied with the ladder.

I love these ladders. This makes the third one I have purchased. The 26 ft version is a bit heavy for smaller folks (heck its a bit heavy for me and I am a big guy). However, it does exactly what it advertises. I got mine to do the 'un-decorating' after Christmas as I had found my smaller version just didn't let me comfortably reach the tops of trees. This one, however, dose the job perfectly. If you can handle maneuvering the ~60 pounds around the house, this is pretty much the only ladder you would need. I order mine online and it got here even quicker than advertised.

Have not used this specific ladder, but i bought the smaller one and it is junk. Buy a real ladder and get a Little Giant, and those you whining about the weight, go get some cheese for that wine! I'm buying my 3rd Little Giant-the others still work great!

Holy cow this thing is heavy. I wish I would have looked for a weight before I purchased it online. I now think maybe I should have spent the extra money for the other well known named multi ladder. This ladder weighs 62lbs and the other well known named multi ladder weighs 54lbs. For me personally, I think those 8lbs would make a huge difference. I purchased this ladder so I could paint my living room which has 20ft ceilings. I have stairs and all sorts of things so I thought the versatility of this would come in handy. The problem is, it is so heavy that I have to have help getting it on the wall when it is fully extended. The ladder is very sturdy and you can do and you can do a lot of things with it, but beware the weight.

Pros: This ladder will do a lot and is very stable. Stores/transport easily compared to equivalent extension ladders. Very sturdy construction. Both side access is great for step-ladder. Haven't really used as an extension or base for scaffold.
Cons: Heavy but you can learn tricks to move it around easily. Not easy to adjust between extremes but not terrible either.

I really like the ladder reminds me of the work ladder I had when I was working for the phone company. The only thing wrong with the one I purchased is the rope, should be different fiber not plastic. This plastic rope slips through my hands with or without gloves on.
