Purchased today,to replace a first gen. 9.6v Makita impact gun.Which took only eight years to kill by and by.A serious homeowner should just purchase heavy duty tools like this as they last a long time.I am doing a major deck overall,and its the right tool for the job.Drives 4" screws with ease.the 15'recharge time gets you done faster.No one in a right state of mind should by the Craftsman 19.2 line.to heavy,to slow,overpriced.

This impact drill is the best piece of equipment i own in my collection, it does amazing for the reason i am a contractor and i use Makita products only they overwhelm me with the performance and they are overcome all the complicated jobs i get, i get no complaints with this product i love it!!!!!!

I bought this after a friend (professional carpenter) helped install cabinets in my house. I have always seen impact drivers and thought that they were a waste on the job because a good cordless drill could get the job done. I was wrong because this has quickly become one of the best tools that I own. I have stopped using my cordless drills for driving screws because the impact driver does it so much better. I can honestly say that this is getting more use than I ever realized.
The unit can charge a battery in 20 minutes. It comes with two in the kit, I never have run of out a charge. The power to weight ratio is amazing. After using it all day with remodelling projects, I don't feel it in my shoulders any more.
I have been a skeptic about impact drivers for quite some time. I am glad that I was proven wrong. My only regret is that I didn't have the extra $60 to buy a new drill with this. Especially after seeing the reduced charge time.

My first Makita tool-I was a bit leary..
This thing rocks- plenty of power to drive screws all day long. My only regret is that I did not get the full kit with the drill too.

I recintly purchased this kit and it is by far the best impact driver I've ever used. Light weight and efficient. Made quick work of installing racking in a service van.

Got this as a set with the drill (highly reccommend) and i tend to use it more than the drill. Light, Compact, Effortless with an Unbelievable amount of power, will drive 10" lag bolts that stall out my 1/2" corded drill. Get a set of "quick-change" drill bits and you have it all!!!

i love this drill i have had one for 5 years on till both of my batterys died and broke in half cuz of my work on heating. but this is best drilled from all that i have used. i want a nother one.
