PRO: 1 you can control the air from the gun, without having to put on a ball valve; 2, when you let go of the trigger you don't spew air and muck, 3, easy enough to clean; 4, easy enough to change out orifice, and they are cheap to replace if lost or worn; 5, easy enough to hold onto, even for ceiling jobs; 6, works for a couple of rooms, and even really small jobs, my little Makita (2.4gpm at 90psi) will run it.
CON: 1, no way to keep track of the orifices, I drilled a 10/24 screw onto the hopper to hold them so I could find them; 2, no easy way to change or turn the hopper, without using a wrench; 3, no easy way to stand the thing up to fill it or set it down to take a call; 4, not as easy as the ones with "dial an orifice", but when they wear out on this gun, easy and cheap to buy new orifices.
Yes, I recommend this product.

we are remodeling a office with plaster walls and wanted the walls to look more like a sheetrock walls.used the large tip .took a little practice to get the psi setting right for the pattern i wanted but after that i was able to shoot the 900 sq ft office in a couple of hours.it took longer to mix the mud than it did to shoot the texture.great tool for the price.tthe house is next

I am very pleased with this texture gun. I had never used a texture gun before, but I have used a gravity feed paint gun. They both work very simliar. I was a little worried at first, but the gun was easy to use and came with good instructions. I did the walls and the ceiling and it all came out looking perfect. This is a great product and I am excited to use it again.

This product had great features for the value. I had no prior experience at texturing walls but had experience painting cars with a spray gun. It was no different, triggering the texture gun with the updated model was simple. I did a medium texture with a knock-down effect. Turned out great!

Did the trick

This thing did the trick. I had about a 3sq ft area that I had used those spray cans on and it just was not cutting it. If you have more than about 1ft sq of area the cans are not the way to go. I will use this one again and probably loan it to a friend or two. I used the medium texture mix with about 30 psi of pressure and the big nozzle to get a pretty heavy texture. It is not the fastest thing in the world but I did not play with higher pressures. I think you could do large areas with it no problem but practice first to get your settings on a piece of scrap dry wall. I wish I had gone this route in the first place a can is $15 each and I wasted 2 cans without good results.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I was skeptical at first, you get what you pay for. I didn't want to spend a lot on a not so good tool. I look around, read reviews and spend a lot of hours searching for a good product before I buy it. This tool exceeds my expectations. If you are not skilled at texture do not do it yourself, stick to the spray cans as they are easier to adjust and are good for small touch up jobs. I have done two bathrooms and a family room and no problems at all. It was easy to set up, use and clean. It works really good if you plan on doing areas at a time, you will spend a lot of time loading the hopper if you plan on doing a large area at once. I would definitely buy this tool again.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought the Pro 200 because it appeared that it would work with my relatively small air compressor. It was easy to follow the settings that came with the gun. When it said to only use 1/2 trigger, I was concerned at first, but then saw that there is a knob you turn so the amount of trigger is locked.
I used premixed texture that had to be thinned to be like thick paint. Then I tested it on a piece of scrap. It wasn't real fast or powerful, but that was a good thing for someone who had never done texture before.
My wife even had me texture a room that had been wall-papered and it made a great improvement after being textured, primed and and then painted.
Yes, I recommend this product.
