this product worked as advertised. the trap caught plenty fleas and also spiders, roaches and any other bugs that came around. it also serves as a good nightlight.

I purchased this because I had a minor problem with fleas. I only caught two fleas in this trap. I had better luck with a homemade trap (4 quart pan with some soapy water and a lamp shining above it) -- where I caught over a dozen fleas -- and a flea bomb. Returned dissatisfied.

I expected a lot more fleas on the disc. However, I do know that each one means hundreds not born in my house. I've only been using one in the room my cats and I spend the most time in. Only about 20 so far and its been a couple of weeks since I placed it. Maybe my house isn't as infested as I thought. A little concerned about having the light on all the time and I keep an eye on my cats to be sure they don't try to put their paws in the device. Its inexpensive enough to give it a try.

After petsitting a friend's ferrets, our house was infested with fleas. I bought these as an afterthought, and also bought 3 large bottles of insecticide and a pump/pressure sprayer. We dipped the animals, and moved out all the furniture and sprayed the entire carpet and then laid these traps: 2 in the living room and 1 in each bedroom under the bed. They work great. I would have thought with my spraying and dipping that I'd killed them all, but within a couple hours we had caught one. 2 weeks later, we counted 62 in one of the bedroom traps, and about that many in one of the living room traps. As an added bonus, those little annoying fruit flies seem to be attracted to them to, so we've got equal parts fleas and fruitflies in one of the living room traps. These things really do work great. Simple, non-toxic, and extremely effective. I would definitely recommend this. Not so happy about the spray that I used initially (you'd think that would have killed them all initially), but luckily I'd bought these as part of my 3-pronged approach. With regular bathing (about once a week) with flea shampoo and these traps, we're no longer infested...all the fleas just end up in the trap. See picture, this is one of the ones under the bed, after about 2-3 weeks.

I just moved in with my boyfriend and his cat. The fleas were horrible! Within five minutes I was being bitten like crazy. Since I have asthma, chemical remedies are not an option. I bought three total. We put one at either end of the couch (where we noticed the heaviest activity) and one in the bedroom. Within 24 hours, we caught HUNDREDS of fleas! I replaced the glue disks (each box comes with one replacement glue disk) the following week and hundreds more! I bought a pack of replacement glue disks on Sunday and still catching them, but the number seems to be decreasing. I have barely been bitten in a week and my bf hasn't noticed any bites in him in two weeks. We treated the cat and the house at the same time, so that helps. Treating one without the other, really doesn't solve the problem. The only complaint that I have is that the bulbs burn out too quickly. They are just night light bulbs which are inexpensive. I just wish that the bulbs that came with the traps lasted longer. Other than that, these really work! We even caught a fly, a moth and some spiders!

After reading some of the reviews, I wasn't sure these would work. I put the first one in the bedroom as the cat likes to sleep under the bed. Within 3 hours I had 28 fleas in the trap. This thing works and I'm extremely pleased with the results.

I ordered 3 units, plugged 2 in and both bulbs blew. I sent them back because I thought they were faulty. The one I have caught about three fleas in two weeks.

Do not waste your money! These do not work. Purchased 3 and put in various rooms and not a single flea...in a day, in a week in a month. Unfortunately I had thrown the boxes they came in away or i would have returned them.

I love these flea traps! They are easy to change to a new pad and the light really atracts the fleas. They are safe to use anywhere and make great night lights. Non poison so you don't have to worry about your other pets or kids while using them.

I was naive enough to think my indoor cat would be safe from fleas, and I found out the hard way that I was very wrong. Now I'm dealing with fleas in the only carpeted room of our apartment, which is the bedroom. I vacuumed and bought a carpet powder, but I was still looking for anything to help speed things up. I saw the reviews for this and thought it was worth a shot.
After setting it on the floor next to my bed, I left the room and came back about 5 minutes later (I am impatient). Already there were a couple fleas in the trap! I left it there for the night and woke up to at least 30 fleas caught. I've since moved it to the other side of the room and caught a few more.
As other reviews say, this is not an end all be all solution. You definitely need to use other products to get into the carpet, but I'm happy to know that every flea caught on that trap can't jump onto my cat and can't lay any more eggs.
I would recommend this product to anyone wants some instant relief for their flea problem. I plan on using this for the next couple months to catch strays and keep the problem from getting out of hand again.

My BFF says the flea trap worked well for her dogs but so far not for my cats--they perch too many places in the daytime and they won't sleep near the trap light. So far no fleas caught. But if I do catch some I intend to mercy-kill them quickly in the freezer rather than let them die slowly of dehydration and starvation stuck to glue paper. Torture. Just a thought.

Poison free product is what I wanted. Lots of little flying things got caught. Two year old grandson no longer getting insect bites. Will use again for prevention or as needed.

I found fleas in the house after our first cold spell, at first one or two then many of them. So we fumigated the entire house. it knocked the numbers back but they were still here. So we used borax it worked to knock more numbers back but they were still coming. I put four of these through out the house. and during first week say 3-5 fleas in each trap, the next week saw about 5 more. The light bulbs are cheap to replace, but we have rarely found a fleas since putting these out. they work great, also dont leave them in one spot move them around the room every two or three days, it worked to pick up more. The dog hasnt had fleas at all thanks to her treatment, but the house found them, with these traps we are not finding them anymore, except when they hit the traps. Great item, well worth it, and you can see how bad of infestation you have. Leave them out they work great.

This trap is the best! I have a clean house and a clean cat and had NEVER had fleas like this - I don't know where they came from!
I had bombed, sprinkled powder, sprayed, treated the cat, etc and still found these little pests popping up here and there because the bombs, sprays and powders don't kill the eggs, so they just kept hatching!
The trap is not the most attractive thing sitting around, but it did exactly what it was supposed to do - attract and catch the little obnoxious things. And, with every one it caught, it also caught their eggs so they couldn't keep hatching in my house!
It is a effortless solution - turn it on and forget it! I love it.

Knowing where you stand can really help with an effective plan. The fleas really hop right in to these - consistently. It certainly did not get rid of the problem, but it is easy to see the extent. After using diatomaceous earth in most rooms (residents complained), and vacuuming most rooms, I still had some showing up.
I decided to bomb. the traps were bare for 3 days. now I find 2. Maybe at this level of problem, the traps will be enough. but I won't fight the battle without the intel the traps provide!

the product works except you need to use it in a darker spot also a cooler spot to attract the fleas. once i moved it to a darker cooler spot it seemed to work well. I like the fact that it is non toxic due to my children and pets.

I bought this product a week or two ago, and it works very well. Within the first 24 hours I was seeing fleas stuck to the paper, and within the first week there were ten or twelve of them, which meant ten or twelve fleas NOT biting me.
I read the product reviews here, so I wasn't too surprised when the light on my trap burned out a couple days ago. As people have noted, replacement bulbs aren't for sale, so I called Victor's customer service line. The person I spoke to told me that the bulbs used in the trap are standard nightlight bulbs (7 watts and 240 volts) and can be found at most hardware and grocery stores. So it's an easy enough fix, and I'll be toddling down to Home Depot to do that soon enough.

I wasn't able to get rid of the fleas until I bought this thing. I spent so much money on sprays for the house and for the cat and we were still getting bit like crazy! I put one of these traps down in each room for about 2 weeks and was amazed at all the fleas we caught. This is what I should have gotten a month ago.
