1 Gal. Multiple Layer Paint & Varnish Remover

For the past 11 years, Back to Nature has been a manufacturer of safer paint and varnish removers, lead paint abatement products, and exceptional cleaning products. Multi-Strip is a unique, environmentally safe paint remover designed to remove up to 15 layers of paint in one application. The new and improved version better penetrates multiple layers and easily removes difficult coatings. Another new feature is that a light application can quickly remove a few layers of paint when time of removal is important. It is biodegradable, non-flammable, non-combustible and contains no methylene chloride or caustic. Multi-Strip is odor-free and can be easily cleaned up with water. As a paste it clings easily to vertical surfaces and completely fills detailed areas. For application, it can be brushed, rolled or sprayed on to the surface with a paint sprayer. In addition, it creates less waste for easy disposal. It requires no neutralization (neutral pH).

I left the remover on for three days, and let it dry despite the instructions saying it should be kept moist. I was still able to remove the caked-on remover. It was effective in removing paint that was probably 100 years old.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Multi Strip is an ok paint remover, and works well on simple jobs with 2-3 coats of paint. I am a professionl painter and we only use Smart Strip Paint Remover for jobs with 10 - 15 coats of paint, and Peel Away Paint Remover, the absolutley best for 30+ layers of paint. Smart Strip and Peel Away Paint Removers are 100% for the tough jobs and are safe paint removers.

I put Thick layer on garage door, waited 4 h. it start working.
After 6 hours I could remove only 1 layer of paint, so I left it
overnight (as directed) after that all staff dryed out.
So I can remove only 1.5 Layers(Not 15 as it say in instructions). Much cheaper paint removers can do same job.
No, I do not recommend this product.

After some experimentation I found that this product DID actually remove about 10-15 layers of paint and the varnish underneath. You just have to leave it on for approximately 20-24 hours. I just timed my work accordingly and was very happy with the results. The paint layers came off in big sections, which made removal and clean up easier. The trick is to leave the solution on for a LONG TIME!
Yes, I recommend this product.

The product does strip but not at the level it claims especially on vertical surfaces. It does cling to the vertical surface however did a very unsatisfactory job of removing the paint. I would recommend that if you're trying to strip paint from a patio deck to just sand it away as I did. It's cleaner and provides immediate satisfaction.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I started using this product about 8 years ago. I was looking for a SAFER product with little or no odor and found this one. It does remove multiple layers in one application but it depends on the thickness of the product applied. I usually have to go back and reapply it in places where I put it on too thinly but I am only working with 5 or 6 layers - I don't know if it would work with 15. Wait time is about 2 to 4 hours before removal. Overall, I have been extremely happy with it.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Dissapointing, did not work as advertised. I would recommend peel away 7. This product may be okay for average job, but not tough ones.
