I just applied this product to my 2.5 car garage over the long weekend. So far I am very pleased with the results. The biggest part of this project is the PREP. This process was 80% preparation (washing/etching/drying), 20% application. It comes with two 1-gallon paint cans that you mix with two small epoxy cans. My garage is 25' x 20' and there was just the right amount for my 500 sf garage. First, you have to clean the garage really well. I rented a floor maintainer/buffer with sand disks (60 grit). I bought a gallon of floor degreaser/etcher and used that first. Scrubbed, washed, squeegeed and dried. Next I used the floor maintainer and then use the concrete etch that is included. Repeat the steps again. Paint the garage in 4' x 4' sections, sprinkle the chips provided, and move to the next section (I bought an extra bag of paint chips). You have to work quickly, because after mixing, you have about an hour to use the epoxy. I put all my stuff back into the garage after 14 hours. Just wait 3 to 7 days before driving on it. I added a painted border and some white trim to make the garage like a normal room. We spend a lot of time in the garage at my house. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and well worth the money.

I painted my 2 and a half car garage with the Tan kit and it worked exactly as advertised. The epoxy paint covers beautifully in one coat and the chips really enhance the look. I highly recommend adding the final gloss coat to the product because it adds a nice shiny finish and non-skid texture that enhances the finish, feel and durability of the floor. As with any pant job, surface preparation is critical for good adhesion and it took more than half of the project time to clean, patch and etch the garage floor. It was time well spent and made the painting process easy.
The paint covers exactly the advertised area, and I used every drop to complete the job. With the two car kit, I would recommend using a new roller and pan when you open the second gallon of paint. The epoxy starts to set up towards the end of the can.
The best part was that the whole job cost somewhere between $200-$300 to complete. The painting process took two full days to complete. My friends tell me it looks like it cost a whole lot more. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants their garage to be the envy of the neighborhood.

Used in my 2 car garage. Cant say it would do 2 1/2 because I was running out in the end. It was put on a 65 degree day and was turning very thick at the end. The time was right at the 2 hour limit they gave. I did not mix one at a time but put both in a large bucket to keep the color consistent. Had I follwed directions of one at a time I would not be so rushed and maybe would not come close to running out as it would have been put on thinner, knowing my middle point. Who knows? Also recommend buying some extra paint chips to throw as I ran out but not a big deal, probably put on to heavy also but I like the look of them. Only installed a week so no report on durability but looks great.

First let me tell you that I am a 65 year old femaile. I applied this product to my 2-car garage and it turned out beautifully. If I can have positive results, anyone can do it. I wrestled with the decision to apply the paint chips and now, I'm glad that I did. The chips give it a finished look and deflect from any grass or leaves that may have blown into the garage. The epoxy surface makes it easy to clean. I simply take my little battery operated blower and in seconds, the garage is free of leaves or any outside debris. It's been a blessing to be able to keep it clean with minimal effort. I love it!

Brought this product for my basement floor and it came up so nice I had to do it twice, therefore I did my laundry room as well, and it looks AWESOME! Product went down nice and smooth & placing the chips down became a family activity with my daughter & I. Smell is a little strong but with the windows open it took care of that. I will be using this product again in the spring when I do my 3 Car Garage & My Sun Room. I'm hooked.

I live in Western NY and I applied this epoxy to my dusty pitted concrete garage floor on the last day temeratures were above 55* F in 2010. What a refreshing crisp and clean look! I believe this epoxy stopped the pitting erosion of my concrete by acting like a sealer. I have beaten on this floor by spilling quarts of dirty oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid to a 1/2 gallon of latex paint. Today, to my amazement, all spills still wipe up with towels and with a light power wash look new again! Highly recommended!

Quite satisfied with the results but it definitely takes two people to complete the project. Once you start you will want to work quickly as the epoxy becomes difficult to spread.

I bought this product to paint the garage floor in my brand new home! It turned out AWESOME! The instructions, prep, and application were all very easy. The only change I'd make is to perhaps recommend in the instructions to use more than one person. I found that having two people clean the floor, then have two people paint the floor while a third person sprinkles the flakes made the project go so quickly. All combined, the work was done in about 3 hours!
