The one-piece frame construction is designed to be mounted against a flat surface outside the fireplace opening. It has easy-grip handles, hidden damper-control knobs for airflow control, and thick, heat-resistant insulation. This fireplace door can assist in reducing heat or cool-air loss up the chimney by as much as 90%. Always keep mesh panels closed and glass doors open when fire is burning in fireplace. Very reasonable price, took about 90 minutes to install, as I had to drill holes into top of fireplace to secure. Not a big deal if you can drill a hole into steel. Good quality and nice looking.

I purchased this unit to replace the one installed over twenty years ago. It was challenging to find brass construction and bi-fold doors in the same unit. This unit exceeded my expectations. The doors are well-crafted and work so beautifully that it seems like I have a new fireplace!

We are very impressed with these doors ! Very easy to install - took about 15 minutes with no tools. Construction
is very solid and seems well made. We have a small issue
with one of the magnet rings on the screen door but think we can find a replacement easily. Color - Antigue Brass-
is great - not glossy and has a nice appearance.

We would highly recommend this door for anyone looking for a lower price alternative from the specialty store where they cost anywhere from $600.00 - $1200.00
