Apparently the last time we bought a dishwasher, the installers did not fix some plumbing issues (either that, or they caused some plumbing issues). Our installers took the time to bring in a plumber to fix the issues. It took 3 hours, and I was expected a HUGE increase in the installation fee...nope...we paid $7.00 (7) more dollars for all that extra work. It was clear they were concerned that our dishwasher be properly installed. We are a believer in purchasing our appliances at HD.
I left work early several days and the installer did not show up. I missed 2.5 days for work. It was awful. When the work was finally done, I was amazed that Home Depot would hire a company like that. I will never use a Home Depot installer again.

Review 6 for Appliance Installation
from San Diego, CA
No help on aisle at store which impacted delay in installation.
No help on aisle at store on two separate visits. Studied product selection and accessories on own to educate myself on potential needs for project. Sought assistance to learn about installation help. When installer arrived, he could not start because I did not have all the materials needed. Installer told me what to buy and that's when I returned to the store; knowing only then what I needed.

Review 7 for Appliance Installation

On par with the rest of my lackluster Home Depot experience.
The installers did a great job of making sure the door on the fridge opened the right way, and got the appliance inside and in place without issue. However, I asked the installers if there was a way to keep the fridge from rolling forward when I opened the doors on the appliance. The fridge sits on a stone tiled floor, and as a result, rolled whenever I opened the door. They said "no." And that I would "need to find a way to block the wheels from rolling." The installers did not tell me I could use the feet under the fridge to lock the appliance in place. Nor did they make any attempt to fix the issue. I regret that I tipped them when I realized how easy it would have been for them to take five minutes out of their schedule to fix it and complete the installation properly.
The microwave looks wonderful and was installed as promised. However, when installer flipped the breakers on and off he shorted out my fridge and I had to pay to have that repaired in addition to the install charges. Also, installer left a huge mess on my stove; dust, etc, from installing my microwave. Will never use home depot installs again and will never recommend it

I am sorry to hear about the problems with your refrigerator. I’m showing that our Customer Care team has partnered with the store to resolve this issue for you. We appreciate your comments and your business. Home Depot is here for you and if we can assist further, please let me know. Thank you.
The installer provided a great installation. He knew what he was doing, was efficient, friendly and professional. We are very happy with our new ceiling can and will use Home Depot installation again and will recommend the service to family and friends.
need to have better overall coordination between online ordering, coordination of installation services with local store, delivery of product, installation of product. I had to work with a total of five different entities to get my issue resolved.
when we finally got the dishwasher installed it was fine, but the original delivery person just said he couldnt do it and didnt give any information regarding whether there were additional options. We finally went to the store and asked about it and they arranged a plumber for a reasonable extra fee, but all the guy had to do was give us more info. We were in the dark for over a month with the dishwasher sitting in the garage.
As I cannot mention names I will say that the customer group at Home Depot Store #585 were great especially store clerk VGB4765 and the guy from the installation company (nickmane Mo) was way beyond what anyone could expect sorry that you will not allow the company name they deserve all the praise.
I made the appt on a Sunday for service on Wednesday morning. The technician never showed up and I had to keep calling to get updates. Thursday was a holiday, and the phone support people said that they'd put me "first" on Friday's list. Somehow that didn't get to the dispatcher, and the service guy didn't arrive until 3 pm on Friday. However, once he got there, he was great- very professional, friendly and helpful. At one point he needed a second pair of hands, and was able to get dispatch to send him someone very quickly. In short, I was unhappy with the scheduling and delays, but very happy with the actual service.
Keep up the good work.I chose you because your competitor (Lowes)turned me loose to figure out how to create a hole for a dishwasher where one didn't exist. You held my hand with the whole process and even financed it for no interest. Great job!
The install was fine -- the problem was that the product door gasket fell off after just one week --- how does this affect my warranty. Is this unit perhaps a lemon? We have bought many appliances especially of late and I don't want this warranty to be out of range if this unit has yet another problem. One has to go thru too many hoops to get thru to the right people to get this kind of problem fixed.
Installers would not hook up dishwasher, in fact didn't even remove from box. would not take away old dishwasher (it is still on premises) refrigerator dented, front door sill damaged by moving in refrigerator, countertop damaged when removing old cooktop, no water hookup for icemaker on hand so we had to make a trip to HD to buy one, installer reluctant to wait until we could provide water hose as they had more jobs to do that day. It took us several days to get everything hooked up. We had to pay our own plumber, electricaian and handyman to complete the job. I will not use Home Depot for install again. Poor follow up by in-store consultant as well.
