The price quote I was given was off by 40%!! Then they kept trying to charge more and more for painting the door, and the frame and extra for cutting the door.
That was really frustrating but wasn't even the worst part. The agent in charge of acting as the intermediary between me & the door manufacturer & installer was very rude and didn't care about my time or frustration at all. It took home depot MONTHS to get the necessary insurance information my condo requires to them. This held up my installation until the freezing winter months. The installers did a good job but I feel like if they weren't freezing they might have spent more time making sure the install was done quality and properly.
At the end of the day I went to home depot over some unknown seller/installer for service and they were terrible... at least the actual home depot employee was. The installs were great. I can't recommend home depot because of this and will probably be sharing my experience with friends and family.

I was pleased with the quality of 3 of 4 doors installed. I was extremely disappointed to see that one of the doors was delivered with no packaging to prevent niks, scratches, etc. The installer tried to smooth out, but 2 coats of paint have yet to conceal all of the marks on the door. This same door is experiencing water stains on the inside - that installer has not figured out what is causing. In addition, new hardware was damaged during installation - that was eventually replaced.

I was very pleased with these installers. They represented installation company in a truely professionals way in there trade. It was a pleasure to have these gentlemen working on my re-installation of original installation that went bad. This was truely a pleasent experience and went beyond what I expected beautiful job and all steps for the install where followed. These gentlemen should be commended.

We are very happy with the doors installed, the installation process and the installer. Installed three new exterior doors in one day. The reason for the slightly lower "Product Quality" was that the doors were prehung and the manufacturer apparently left two of four hinge screws out of one of the doors. Not a big deal, but something we noticed after the installation. This is something I can easily fix.

I ordered the door, screen door, and the lock for the door on the same day although they were on different custom order form. When the installers 1st called to setup delivery, I told them that the door lock was on back order but they said they have everything so setup to come out to the house. Once they came to the house, they asked "Do you have the lock?" so I told them it's on back order so I didn't really think they had it. They checked and had to reschedule for a different day. Once the lock arrived, I asked to have the lock delivered along with the door when they come to install it. It took another 2 weeks or so for the installation guy to call to setup a date. When he did come, he didn't have the lock so had to call service again and have an associate deliver the lock separately.
Also on the door itself, there were several minor scratches on the outside of the door. When I mentioned it, the installer said I had to call the service or something like that which I haven't had the time to do.
Overall, it took over 2 months from the day we purchased the doors till it got installed and was not very well coordinated.

We were pleased with our doors but we were BLOWN AWAY with our service. It was, by far, the best service we have EVER received. Our installation process was a pleasure. Not only did they do a quality job. They were very polite and totally cleaned up when they were finished. Not used to service like this these days. They wanted to make sure I was totally happy and would do whatever it took, to ensure I was. I would (and have) recommend Home Depot for an 'install' job any day. We used to comparison shop Home Depot and Lowe's. WE are now a Home Depot 'loyal' customer, all because of this truly, wonderful experience

From start to finish this was a great experience! This was my first time having someone install something in my home and I'm glad I chose The Home Depot. The associate at the store answered every question I had and educated me on future care of the doors that were installed. The installation took less time than I thought and looks amazing!

Our installation involved removing a thirty year old storm door and front door that no longer fit tightly into the frame. The installer remained quite pleasant and courteous, even through a problem part of the installation that he had warned me about when he first arrived and inspected the job site. The job site was cleaned up with no sawdust or miscellaneous bits of wood left lying around for me to clean up. The installer was extremely competent and adjusted the frame to make sure that every surface was level so there would be a tight fit around the door. I am extremely pleased and have just placed an order to have another outside (back) door installed by Home Depot.

rep at Home Depot did not know status of service and so we ended up having to go to the store 2 times to complete request for installation. Installer called to tell me he was going to the doctor, I returned phone call to ask for what and he said poison ivy. Tried to get another installer but couldn't and already took off work to have it done. Guess doctor took a while because he was later (1.5 hr after original time). Lastly, on one informed us that the alarm would be disconnected and not reconnected. I will never have home depot do another installation. They got there money and I finally got my door but after being inconvenienced and poor service.

The entire process was quick, simple, and seamless. I went to my local Home Depot to schedule someone to come out and measure from Jeld-Wen. The man used lasers to measure all of my openings and helped me choose a door style and hardware. The next day, I paid Home Depot right over the phone and a few days later I received a call to schedule my install. About a month later my doors were installed. They are wonderful. Just as I wanted them. I even had one of them painted a custom color and it matches perfectly! The installer was on time, thorough, and was very clean as he worked. Overall I am very pleased with the process and would recomend this to anyone!!

The installation company originally scheduled the measurement to happen on a Friday but they did not arrive until the next Monday with no communication indicating they would be delayed. The biggest issue is the damage to the existing frame when the old storm door was removed. The holes that were left are excessive, unsightly and there was no reason for them to have occured had care been taken during the process.
