I will NEVER attempt to do an install of ANYTHING with Home Depot again. Horrible experience. If you are thinking of using them, walk, no--RUN away. Not only was the entire experience difficult, they have double billed us and we are now having to deal with Corporate to get it corrected. I could have bought all the equipment, supplies, gone to a trade school for flooring installation and come out cheaper and used less of my time.

We would like to apologize for your experience, and would like to address any concerns that may still exist. We will review your orders, and follow up with you by phone.
Was sent wrong materials. Workers arrived hours late on all but one day. Job not completed in time and had to reschedule plumbers. Someone had to come back to clean up mess left behind and fix part of baseboard that came loose after a few days. Baseboard installation still looks sloppy.

Review 4 for Vinyl Flooring Installation
from Raleigh, NC, USA
Took a long time between measurement and installation
The installer did not know that he was going to install both laminate and vinyl tile. He was told it was a 2 hour job but turned out to be 10 hours, including a second visit. Too many people in process - poor communication between measurer, Home Depot order taker and install company. Little details got lost between too many hands. We would not use Home Depot for this type of job again.
The installer was prompt and efficient, courteous and did an excellent job with attention to detail. He moved furniture by himself and kept a clean work space. He communicated when he went to lunch and when he would get back. He made sure the flooring was the correct product before he installed it.
We chose to have our luxury vinyl tile grouted and it looks like high quality ceramic. The installer did a great job, and was very helpful in resolving some errors that the special services team had made. Would definitely use the service again.
Installer called & said appt was on certain date, but when confirming appt. to be told it would be on a later date. The installer showed up Friday but didn't have part of the order so he left & came back Monday. We had no stove & fridge in kitchen & one toilet removed & then it took three days to finish install because installer had no help & had to continue working on other jobs while completing this one. The installer was competent and worked hard. He was working under crazy circumstances but with proper help this job should have taken no more than one day, day & a half at most. No more large purchases will be made at home depot. This is not the first problem with a large purchase.
Set up was a bit rocky. Could not get the appt. set. could not really get a hold of anyone for small issues like the asbestos results/submission & response and small issues in the interim but then we finally got all squared away. the actual install was smooth with great results..

Redid the entire house but this is the floor. New carpet & linoleum... nice huh?
we bought the flooring at the store and was told we would receive a call for installation. Next day we get a call and wastold somebody would be out to measure the floor. Itold them 6' X10' would be what needed. They said they had do the measuring.and set up a date ina week. they came out and said 6'X10' was needed.Said everything was ok and someone would call. A couple days later the installer called and said he would be there to inspect job came a couple days later and walked in and said everything looked fine.Said he had to call to set up an installation. Called and said next tuesday would be ok and said we would be gone that week and set up a date the following week. Everything else went great.
Installers admitted that they did not like installing vinyl planking flooring nor did they have much experience installing vinyl planking. With that being said the overall job was good they struggled some and had to redo some planks that did not connect correctly the first time around. Installers were neat and on time and still got the job done in the alloted days. Carpet install was excellent.
The process was extremely slow getting things done. The persons responsible for measuring and then completing the estimate failed to follow directions on contacting us. This slowed the process considerably. The installers were excellent and did a fantastic job.
After our product finally came in, we got our appointment for installation which was another 2 weeks away. They came and installed and told us that we did not have the right product for the edging. Turns out that we were told that for vinyl, we would not need a subflooring, when in fact, we should have gotten it. Now we have a 1/2 inch drop from the tile floor to our new vinyl floor. The edge that was originally purchased wasn't the right one. While my husband went to Home Depot to get this figured out, the installers finished and couldn't wait around. Home Depot gave us runners to cover up the gap (I have young children) and we had to wait another 2 weeks for this to come in and another week or so for the installers to finish the job. Unfortunately, they did not have the edging we needed in the same flooring as we got and so now we have a step down and a different color of wood edging the flooring. Since it has been installed, I have one plank that has started to come up from the floor and there is pretty large dent in our floor where the couch leg was placed. I love the look of the floor but not too impressed with the actual product itself.
