It is just as sturdy as a Weber BBQ. Love the fact that the extension that the cover sits on can be removed so you can smother the fire and have no loss on whatever wood is left to burn.

I've had this product since @1987 and is like a backyard member of the family = long lasting. Best way for a long life as mine, never let water sit in the bottom or in the ash pile ... use a cover or a large trash bag when not in use

Great product so far (have only used twice). The only drawback is that there is no bottom grate to give some space between the bottom of the bowl and the wood for air flow. I solved that by buying the charcoal grate (not the food grate) for a Weber kettle and putting it in the bottom, which solved the problem. Note: the part at the very bottom (beneath the firebowl) is not an ash catcher, like on the kettle grill; it is a heat shield in case you are using this on a deck. Again, that means no built-in airflow in the bowl, which is why I think the charcoal grate is helpful.

This firepit is a great size and gives lots of open space for the heat and flames, but I like the cover to just keep flying ash from going into the trees so easily. This was a little bit difficult to put together by myself, with a helper, it would be very easy. It can be done alone, I did. I think it's a great product, and great size!
