Just installed Range hood a fews days ago. Have not used much but seems to be well built and looks great. Fan a little loud on high speed, but exhaust CFM looks to be very good.

I love how quiet the first 2 speeds are. I won't need the 3rd speed till harvest time comes from our garden. No more kitchen heat and odors gathering in the corner rooms and upstairs. Ours is vented outside. It was not the easiest to install. Took 3 of us. We had some confusion in the beginning with the covering of white plastic. Actually thought it was a white rangehood, when we ordered stainless. No problem.. The white peeled off and it was a good laugh!

I searched high and low for a range hood. I cook a lot and our microhood just wasn't cutting it to remove cooking steam and odors from our kitchen. I found very cheap range hoods and ones that are over $1000 bucks. This Maytag model is just right at $400. It is stylish, powerful, and has two halogen lights positioned in the front of the hood which wonderfully illuminate the stove. I've never had such visibility when cooking. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Admittedly we had sticker shock when looking for a stainless hood with greater than seven inch depth. The depth requirement seemed to put us into "designer" world.
Fortunately, we found this Maytag range hood and we absolutely love it!
The lighting is just right and the three speeds come in handy. Usually, we just use the first speed and rarely the second. The lowest setting is so quiet I'm sometimes afraid I'll forget to turn it off..but it really works well.
Our family has purchased Maytag products over generations and this range hood is a quality product.

Stainless Steel looks great, the unit is sturdy, the fan motor is powerful and the lighting is great (2) 50 watt halogen bulbs.
