Disappointed with this purchase. Bought door at local store and thought we looked it over fairly well for nicks, scrapes, etc. It was replacing a similar one we had purchased over 15 years ago.
Got it home and framed in only to find that top hinge was screwed in at the factory at a bad angle and out of the pre-cut location. Therefore the door did not hang/close well. Also, the pre-cut frame location for both the new dead bolt and regular door closure was off by a quarter of an inch.
Unfortunately we had already done too much work to remove the bad product and take it back to the store. We instead had to "modify" hinge and carefully cut wider holes for locks.
All in all a very frustrating experience which took much more time than it should have.
Hopefully this door will perform like the original one.

They came well protected with cardboard and straped. The fasteners were by far inadequate. Believe it or not, the hinge screws are 1/2" long for solid core doors, I will have to buy longer ones as these will not take the load over time. also the staples that "hold" the stop were too far apart and not long enough, one double swing unit had 2 staples "holding" the head stop of a 4/8 double swing. The weight of the doors broke the stop in two places. The edges were not beveled, in 43 years in the business, I have never seen that. It may save them a bit of time but to make a square edge door work, one must increase the margins. To make it more difficult, the heads were a bit short so I will need to plane several units and the stops are beveled at the bottom rather than square cut. This may save them a bit of time but it looks amaturish. If they take care of these issues, I would recommend them but until then, no.
Pros: Beautiful Appearance, well packaged
Cons: short screws, short and too few staples in the stops, doors not beveled, stops beveled at the floor

We bought this for our back door over 5 years ago when we were remodling the outside of our home. The door works great keeping out the the heat and cold.
Great looking door at great price. We are very happy with it and hope you will be too.
*We put a keyed dead bolt on it cuz of the glass windows.

This is a good door for the price. I actually priced this out at my local home depot and it was more money to have them order this exact door than for me to order it online and have it shipped right to my own doorstep.Overall door delivered as specified. Good fit, nice 9-lite windows.

When I ordered this door, I knew it wqould take awhile to receive, but it took much longer than anticipated. When i finally received the door, it was BADLY scuffed with black marks and was slightly dented. The wood of the door frame was gashed in on the bottom. A good handyman could take care of these issues, so I decided to keep it because I would have to wait that much longer, and it probably would have come in the same condition. I called Home Depot, and they gave me some money off.......but still I can not recommend this product.

FIRST DOOR WAS DELIVERED DAMAGED. REPLACEMENT ARRIVED IN GOOD CONDITION AND THE QUALITY THAT I EXPECTED. STILL WAITING TO SEE THAT THE BILLING FOR THE RETURN OF THE FIRST DOOR IS HANDLED TO MY SATISFACTION. NOTHING LESS THAN A FULL REFUND INCLUDING THE SHIPPING AND TAXES.

My husband and I love this door. It's not too heavy, not too light, but just right! It was extremely easy to paint and it covered very nicely. The door closes evenly without any glitches and the lock works very smoothly, not sticky at all. We both would highly recommend this door to any home, any garage, any place!
The customer service was great! I placed our order online and within an hour or less I received the return e-mail that we could come to the store and pick it up. The Home Depot Team had the door loaded in the back of our truck even before my husband finished the payment transaction! Very, very pleased customer's!!

This door had potential, but the jam pieces ware misaligned by an eighth of an inch top-left so the door doesn't close against the weatherstripping. The hinge screws were also screwed in haphazardly at odd angles. I couldn't see either defect because of the packaging, and only after I had the original door out. I am not happy.
Pros: Energy Efficient, Easy to Clean
Cons: poor quality control

What can I say, it's a no-brainer. The door looks great, is well built, and can be easily installed by a Cro-Magnon man like myself. It's hard to go wrong with this door. If you want something that opens and closes and has a handle, then here you go.

The rear perimeter of my home in Florence, Al had no door thus complicating the use of the back patio. A fast trip to my local Home Depot provided a lot of surprises! The first person to ask about my needs was a fellow named David. It turns out that David has a keen interest in doors. He is also totally versed in all the brands carried by Home Depot rattling off most brands from memory! After explaining my particular circumstance especially the fact that not only do I not have an existing door but I also happen to have a very narrow opening, David did'nt even break a sweat! He quickly reccomended a jeld-wen which was a custom order in light of the narrow width. The door was ordered for what seemed a great price(It's custom made)! The door upon arival at the HomeDepot was discovered by him to be broken! David quickly called me to inform me that the door was damaged and he had promptly ordered a new one! This guy never sweats! Once the new door arrived he called me and he says to me "since the last door was damaged I am sending this one over to you at our expense! Once the door arrived I called my handyman to install it. Thanks to The HomeDepot and David we now have access to our back patio! The door is top quality! The handy man had no trouble installing it and all of the parts were present and intact. My wife and I plan to build a smaller home in the future and based on my experience we plan to use HomeDepot and Jeld-Wen exclusively! My biggest hope is that David is still there when we are ready.

In the end I am very happy with the door. The only problem I faced was a carelessly installed hinge and a few missing hinge screws. Once I removed the screws and reinserted them the door was fine. There was also a defect in the weather stripping but I am not too worried. Otherwise very satisfied.

Door is solid. Looks very nice. Hinges are recessed too far in the frame, causing the door to be tight to the frame on the hinge side and causing an excessive gap on the latch side. This causes a poor seal on the latch side; the hinges will need to be shimmed to put the door in the correct location to correct the seal problem.
