I had put this toilet in my cabin a few months ago and it worked out so well I ordered it again at the last minute. I
had a 22 inch wide area between a tub and shower and needed a small toilet. At the same time have a large son who puts a flush to the test. This toilet does both of these plus saves water and was easy to install.Took about a week to get here but was packed great. The other one I ordered from a different company came broken.

overall, this is a great product and value. once and awhile, I have to flush twice to remove all waste but for the most part, it is an energy and resource saver.

I installed this toilet a week ago and have had no problems. I bought this model to replace a leaky low profile tank toilet. (in the picture you can see the outline of the old toilet) I have a small bathroom and was nervous that this toilet would look too big with the exposed tank, but I was pleasently surprised with the outcome. The tank is very slim. With the buttons on top, I barely have room for a candle and tissue box on the lid, but I think that's a good thing in my case.
I'm a 27 year old, petite female and have never replaced a toilet. I ordered this model online and installed it easily with the help of my boyfriend. Some tips I would pass along to help save time and trips back to home depot:
1. Buy a wax ring. (I didn't know!:))
2.Watch the home depot video on how to take out your old toilet and replace it with a new one.
3.Make sure your water supply hose from your old toilet will work with your new one, if it won't, buy a new one, but make sure it will work with both your supply line and your toilet. (We had to buy a new hose and a new supply line cut off valve to make it work... after 2 trips to home depot..doh!)

I saw other reviewers mention this, but this toilet does not include a seat. You will need to purchase that seperately. I bought this one: American StandardEverClean Round Closed Front Toilet Seat in White 5282011.020

We have had this toilet since Oct 2010. We really like the toilet, it a great flusher.
We have a deep well and have pretty high bacterial iron content. We use a Omni inline water filter at the pressure tank, but there is still a tendency for iron build up. In Feb (2013) the toilet over about a 10day period became a "no flusher". Over the course of 2 months the flush valve was changed, no difference. The water supply valve was replaced, no difference. Bowl edge water holes cleaned, no difference. Toilet "snaked" no difference. Since I had noticed a iron buildup at the front of the water path in FRONT OF the bowl and also at the exit that had resisted our usual bowl cleaners, I dipped out as much of the water as I could and added some "The Works" bowl cleaner. I let it set for a couple of hours. THE TOILET NOW FLUSHES like new again. I had even mentioned the iron buildup to American Standard early on, no comment. KEEP the water path extremely clean.

I purchased 2 H2Option dual flush toilets a couple of years ago and after one year, both toilet valves needed to be replaced. One year after replacing both toilet valves, one of the toilet valves began to leak water again and I had to replace a second valve for one of the toilets. These are not valves you can find at any hardware store. American Standard customer service was very helpful and great to work with and replaced all the valves at no charge. But my concern is about the quality of valve and why are they needing replacement in such a short period of time.

I don't know why this toilet has any negative reviews at all. This toilet is fantastic!
Our Story:
My wife and I bought our home almost two years ago. All three existing toilets seemed to be the same, but I couldn't find a brand on them any where. I assume they were builder's grade. All three would clog frequently! I literally was doing double flushes or blunging at least three times a week. Great start to the work day!

We had a HER Real-Living HomeGard Warranty, so we put in a claim with the HMS National Warranty Claim System. They sent out a plumber from Terra Plumbing, who gets terrible reviews on Angie's List by the way, and he said we had hard water and just needed to CLR all our toilets. Did this for a few months, with a LOT of CLR. No improvement. So, we didn't renew our HomeGard Warranty, and I bought one of these toilets to test my theory that all the toilets were poor quality and that the plumber was a hack, and the Home Warranty should have paid for 3 new toilets.
I was right!
This toilet, in the last three weeks, hasn't clogged once!!! Extreme improvement from our prior toilet. We haven't even needed to clean it despite the other reviews. Of course there may be some cleaning that needs done around the toilet rim, but until children learn to aim, I think no toilet will fix that.

I had never installed a toilet before, but I had my father-in-law supervising to help with the process. There was little space in the toilet area, so he got to watch me do the work, which is fine with me, so long as I don't screw anything up. After reading the other reviews, I made sure that I really tightened the tank down to the bottom piece. The gasket is a type of foam, so you really need to tighten the nuts to get the gasket compressed enough for the tank to sit down.
We did have to purchase a wax ring, a new water hose, and bolts. The bolts were pretty low quality and one of the nuts was broken. Weird. Definitely a quality control issue from the supplier of the nuts, so we had to go back to the home depot, mid-installation to get a replacement. Otherwise, it was no big deal.

Toilet functions excellent, and looks great too! My mother-in-law stated that she liked the lines of it. I agree, it looks pretty sharp. I will mention, that it is narrower that most toilets. So, if you are picky about how your wall looks, you may prefer to be ready to paint when you take out your existing toilet. Once the toilet is out, paint the wall, let it dry, or at least get tacky, then install the toilet. I wanted to do this, but was vetoed by the other 3 adults in the house. Now the person who paints the bathroom will have to paint around a beautiful new toilet, which will likely be me.

Keep in mind that no lid comes wilth this bowl and I really think it should. I purchased the "no slam" lid to go with toilet bowl. Works nicely together.
The whole family gets a kick outta the dual flush system and I'm curious to see whether we will see a difference in the water bill.

This toilet was easily installed by my handyman who stated that it was well constructed and should last for over 20 years. The flush is quiet and the tank fills so quickly with much less water than is necessary to do all the things a toilet is supposed to do. I am very pleased with this purchase and the ease of use. Use of this water saving toilet just feels good on the budget and on the environment.

We replaced both of our old 5 gpf toilets with white H2Option toilets and we love them. The tank re fills super fast and the flush is very powerful for being only 1.6 gallons per flush. The styling of the toilet is nice as well, minimal flat surfaces to collect dust and the tank is thin and sleek. We chose the Bemis solid wood seat and cover, because the brushed nickel hinges matched the flushing buttons quite well (we really hated the look of the slow close lids). I would recommend this toilet to anyone wanting to conserve water and add a fresh look to their bathroom.

The toilet was very easy to install, the instructions were clear and understandable. Took about 30 minutes to install including water connection. No adjustment were necessary. It works great and save a lot of water.

I had my doubts, but my neighbors have had 2 of these for more than a year and love them. It is working beautifully. We love using less water when we don't need more, and the more powerful flusher gets everything down. Very happy after 2 weeks of use. I like the way it looks, too.

I bought 1 to put in my home addition then replaced a problematic toilet with a 2nd. I've used conversion kits to retrofit existing toilets into dual flush and have been unsatisfied so was a little hesitant to try this Siphonic out. It is wonderful though and has no problems. I'm looking forward to replacing 2 more builder grade toilets with the oval bowl version. I highly recommend!

We replaced our 50 year old toilet with this guy and we are in love. I have never had to double flush. Everything goes down the first time, and it was easy to install. It is also relatively quiet and you don't feel like you are flushing a lake every time you flush.
PLease keep in mind though that it does not come with a wax ring, or the bolts, or a toilet seat (we purchased the slow close American Standard seat and are very pleased with the combo - Model # 5330.010.020).

This is the best toilet I have seen since the government mandated switch to low flow. I works very well. It is also great for tight areas. The toilet is very narrow and short, but is comfortable also. One problem I have is with American Standard's (AS) white color. It is not really very white, but more like an greyish white. Not much out there is really white, but AS is less white than others. It doesn't quite match my very white lavatory. Still, I am keeping it because of it work great.

This was bought for the bathroom that my young kids use, and they immediately understood the "dual-flush" buttons, although grown-ups seem to have a harder time getting it! We all like the new potty: it looks good in our bathroom, and works way better than the old one. The flow dynamics of modern toilet designs are way more efficient & effective than the ones from days past!
