Ardesia Blue 12 in. x 12 in. Ceramic Tile

Ardesia is a gold blue tones tile is beautiful, tough and enduring floor and wall covering material. Apart from its very presentable look, it is resistant to almost all of the common sources of wear endured by quality flooring

No, I do not recommend this product.
This tile is advertised as 12 x 12 but is actually about 11-5/8 x 11-5/8, so I wasn't able to completely cover my 5' backerboard with 5 rows. They also advertise the color as "gold blue tone tile", when it is actually a dark green with gold or brown tones. The in-store sample shows the tile and says it used pewter grout. The grout they used is a dark gray and the pewter I bought and put in the joints is a light gray. The spacers I bought said they were 3/16 on the bag but they turned out to be 1/8. I am very dissappointed in this whole project.

I bought this tile for my kitchen and laundry room, laid out on the diagonal with a light grey grout. It looks absolutely beautiful, the color is a bluish grey, went back to home depot and purchased more to do both bathrooms! Getting that cohesive look, as it is a very different tile, and have gotten numerous compliments.

I love this tile. It looks so good and the grout they use with it in the store goes perfect. What a great deal too. Everyone who has seen it LOVES it. Such a pretty color and it just turned out great. Used for my bathrooms and laundry room.

I wanted a dark tile for my kitchen floor to complement the dark faux granite countertop and didn't want to go special/expensive.
I originally was thinking of using a black grout to have a low contrast negative accent but soon after I started installing the tile I found that 90% of the tiles have a thin light gray band on one edge. Like the ceramic is primed with a light gray paint and then the dark pattern is applied but offset by 1/16th of an inch. There's no way that a reasonable grout line will cover it so you're forced to use a light gray grout otherwise little gray bands are gonna jump out visually. I grabbed a sample tile at the store and put the gray band side by side with grout colors to pick. It did work out, and maybe for the better? I made sure each gray banded edge faced the same way - not sure if random would be better.
I like the fact that the ceramic material is a dark brown. If a chip or crack develops, it mostly won't have a high contrast appearance. If the gray primer is exposed though, it will stand out.
The tile is definitely not 12". It's 11 and 5/8(says on the box). I used 3/16 spacers.
All in all, it's not an expensive tile and it's not the greatest quality but if you're OK with having to use a light gray grout then this tile is fine.
