Built to last through even the most extreme conditions, the SnoBoss 26 in. high-capacity blade with steel wear strip allows for the removal of more snow in less time and is constructed using only high quality resins. Together, the blade and handle provide optimal design integrity and do so with no unwanted screws, nuts, rivets, or edges. And it's even reversible. Just turn it over, and it's ideal for scraping tight areas, such as steps and porches. Nothing works harder, or more comfortably, to keep snow from getting in your way.

This is my second SnowBoss 26. The original wore out on the outside edges after 5 years. We often get 15-20 snow events a winter (often multi day), so this life span seems reasonable to me. The metal edge and plastic on the side ground away after time, and it finally cracked when I was hammering at some ice. I immediately went on a hunt for a new one, which should tell you all you need to know. I like the wide swath of snow that you can push with this shovel. It has two handles near the blade for lifting and tossing. I use the lower one for heavier snow. The new shovel I got has a different design on the metal edge, so hopefully it will last longer. Beware the look a like (I think it is even the same manufacturer) without the metal edge. You won't get the same ice busting power without it. Additionally, I am 6'1" and have no problem lifting the shovel when it is loaded. My 5'2" wife hates this shovel.
So people will look at you like your crazy because the thing is huge and odd looking, but let me tell you, its awesome.
You have to leverage the design of this tool for it to work as intended. You push it like a plow and it just scoops up everything. Then just slide it to the area you want to dump and your done. Its extremely quick and makes it easy on your back.
The design of it is made so that the shovel slides with the perfect position/pitch to the ground, use that to your advantage.
Very sturdy. I even used it to scrape up 1 inch of ice on the driveway and it worked wonderfully.
Pros: Durable, Functionality, Sharp, Great Quality
I JUST recommended this shovel to all my friends are what was supposed to be 1" of snow turned into 8" here on the East Coast. Thanks Mother Nature.
I suffered through backbreaking work with a normal, outdated, your-grandfather's-snow shovel, and remembered I had seen this one in store a few weeks ago and passed on getting it. I told my wife (who thinks she has a valid excuse to not shovel snow..."But I'm PREGNANT"...whatever) that I wasn't touching another snowflake until I got this thing. Picked it up last night, and bulldozed the entire driveway, sidewalk, and deck in record time.
If you have to suffer through shoveling snow, just do your back a favor and buy this bulldozer of a shovel. You'll be thrilled.
Pros: Durable, Multi Use, Functionality, Strong, Stylish, Great Quality, Good Shape, ergonomic
Works but it's nothing exceptional. Edge seems to be slightly curved so the blade does not fully make contact with the driveway. This results in only 12-14 inches of snow clearing ability down to the pavement.
As the title says I think this is a great shovel. I do not know if I just got a bad one of the batch but after using it only once I noticed that 3 of the rivets that hold the metal blade to the bottom part of the shovel were gone. I have to return it and will let you know if the next one holds up better.
The concept is great, much better on the back than a shovel because you never need to lift snow off the ground. Just scoop it up and push it along. On deeper snow you can plow into the snow, fill up the large shovel then lower the handle a bit so the scoop glides over the snow instead of scooping it. Then it's just a matter of pushing it along to were you dump it. I've made piles well over my head while never lifting snow off the ground. Just keep dumping snow in the same place and build up a ramp. The back likes pushing much more than lifting, that's for sure. Although the metal blade edge helps, like all plastic shovels it isn't great for breaking up ice. Took off 1 quality mark because when you slide it around you do end up sliding plastic on the ground which will eventually wear down. I'd like to see a couple strips of sheet metal underneath to slide on. However that is a minor quibble and wouldn't deter me from buying another, which is probably why it isn't there.
FInally! A shovel that holds up to heavy wet snow, has a great handle, and 2 levels of grips for people of different heights. I do two passes with this thing, and my driveway is DONE! It's over 2 feet wide, and the plastic is heavy duty with a steel strip on the bottom. It doesn't weight a lot, but is very sturdy. *Thank you, SnoBoss!*
I only got to use this once but it was after 8" of wet snow. I work out every day and am in very good shape but have back pain with a standard shovel within 5 minutes. I was amazed I did my driveway, sidewalk, and front walk within an hour with no back pain. I'm so glad I bought this shovel. There is a little technique involved, but once you get the hang of it, it moves alot more snow than a standard shovel.
Pros: Vibrant Color, Functionality, Strong, Stylish, Good Shape, front handle for lifting
Cons: snow sticks to it a bit, must tilt a bit to keep metal strip out of concret
I have had mine for three years. Works great for clearing the end of my drive way after the snow plow comes by and fills it in. Very easy on my back. I am a 44 year old woman and have no problem clearing my drive way. You can move a lot of snow safely in a short amount of time.
Pros: Durable, Vibrant Color, Strong, Great Quality
Shoveling after yesterday's storm noticed the metal edge was just hanging. Most of the rivets were missing, looks like it may have only had three and two let go. Most of the holes for the rivets were empty. $36+tax for poor quality shovel is not a value play.
Do not buy this snow shovel. It has raised rivets which hold the blade which will gouge your deck!
Cons: poorly design blade attachment gouges your deck

Review 14 for SnoBoss 26 in. Snow Shovel
Good, but not a substitute for a regular shovel
PostedFebruary 13, 2013
So, this is an ingenious, well made snow removal device. It's not a snow shovel, and its not meant to be used like one.
It's main value is in transporting snow. You can plow it into the snow, lever the handle, and slide the snow along the ground. It's wide cutting edge and two handed handle also make it good for skimming a light coat of snow off the driveway.
You will be disappointed if you want to use it like a regular snow shovel. I find the tool is too heavy to use to pitch snow, and the bucket is too too large.
This is a good addition to your snow removing arsenal, but not the first tool you should buy.
I also like the yellow color for safety when on the street.
Pros: Vibrant Color, Functionality, Strong, Great Quality
It allows removal of larger amounts of snow than a standard shovel and does it with less back strain because the load can be dragged to the unload point. It is also light enough to allow pick up and toss. The design with 2 top handle locations also facilitates lift and control. I bought one for my son this year because I was happy with the one I bought for myself last year.
Pros: Durable, Functionality, Strong, Great Quality

Review 16 for SnoBoss 26 in. Snow Shovel
Best Shovel I've ever used
PostedFebruary 8, 2013
Just wanted to praise this product and echo reviewer KenR's statement.
If you hate lifting snow, get this shovel. It simply glides across the ground. I usually end up filling up the shovel end, pulling it back, and pushing it into my yard. No lifting.
If the snow is too wet or heavy and you need to lift, it's got great handles to make that easy as well.
Great product... may buy another one just in case.
As a chiropractor I am always looking for ways to make typical daily activities easier on the spine and less likely to cause injury. This shovel has a great ergonomic design and it has a solid construction so it shouldn't break or get dull. I highly recommend this shovel. This is the shovel I use at my house and that I recommend to my patients.
To start with, the downside: I agree with the previous reviewer's frustration with the metal edge. This can be a pain, but only relevant on concrete. For me, this just means the sidewalk. The edge does tend to hang up on rough patches in the concrete and stall your progress. I may in the future choose to use a standard snow shovel for the sidewalk.
On asphalt, however, the action of the Sno Boss is perfect. You can move a ton of snow very efficiently. I'll be relying on the Boss for future storms for sure, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Well, anyone with an asphalt driveway, that is. Who lives where it's cold. And snows.
Received my product direct from HomeDepot.com and the upper 12 inches of the handle was exposed from the shipping box. Other than being a bit scratched up it was quick delivery and physically sound upon arrival. The metal portion of the blade was a bit bowed so that it was not flush with the ground so I had to take a rubber mallet to it and straighten it out. First task was moving the snow (36 inches) and ice off the roof. This was not the task that the boss was designed for and caused some early dissatisfaction. TODAY however there was 3-4 inches of fresh snow on the 200 foot long driveway and I was able to bang it out in no time flat. The boss does not handle turns that well, but has lots of handles and gripping points. I also like the boot hold for digging in if you need to. There is only minimal spillage off the sides as you plow through the snow and the wide blade provides great coverage. Overall, a brute of a shovel and a welcome purchase with a couple more snow storms on the way before we can call winter '10-11 over.
