I put this flooring down on my entire first floor last year and am very pleased with that, I decided to do my master closet with the left overs but needed another box , so I ordered it. The currently manufactured Desert Elm Home Legends wood flooring is THINNER than it was last year so it doesnt match up. Its like they went with a cheaper manufacturiing process. Luckily I only needed one more course and its in the back of a closet so no big deal really, but I wasnt happy that they changed the thickness. Its about an 1/8th inch thinner - so it didnt align with the previous course. Just a note if you are adding on to exsisting flooring - keep in mind it will require a transistion strip becasue it isnt the same dimension thickness wise. Other than that though love the look of this wood floor.
Pros: Looks Like Wood, Easy to Install, Looks Great, Modern, Easy to Clean, Comfortable, Effective
Cons: Difficult to Install

This product is beautiful and ther is minimal waist due to the differing sizes they provide in the box. I measured out needing 12 boxes and only used 10 boxes and 3 planks from the 11th. I tried hard to make it work with just 10 boxes but the doorway to the bathroom did me in. The planks snap together in a "snap" or with a smack from your closed fist... and it looks amazing! I used "Silent Blue" underlayment and together with this quality wood, you can hear any footsteps or clicking when you walk on the floor. Whats best about Home Depot, it their great team members who help you find great products like this... Also, a note on the SilentBlue pad, If at any time within 60 days after receiving your initial pallet order of SILENT BLUE® Pad you are not satisfied, or if your installation crew does not like it for any reason, simply contact them by phone or e-mail and let them know how many unopened rolls you have left. they will work with you on shipping arrangements. Just shrink wrap the remainder of the pallet. Upon arrival at our warehouse, they will give you a 100% refund on all resalable rolls.

i ordered 29 boxes, including a 10% buffer for bad, warped, or very off-color pieces and I easily could have gone with a buffer of 1% for user error only. the color throughout all boxes is uniform, there were no broken, scratched or warped pieces. this floor goes together like a dream--even with several hallways and stairs requiring complex cuts, I was able to lay 560 square feet in a couple of 8 hour days. the floor is soft and quiet, the color and finish is a beautiful, rich honey--neither too yellow or too red. the hand scraped finish is not overly rustic, so works beautifully with our very modernist decor, but would be perfect in a more traditional home as well. and you absolutely can't beat the price-this floor looks just as good as flooring several times the price per square foot. while I've laid nail and glue down floors before, this would be the perfect floor for a beginner who want a beautiful look. the pieces easily and firmly lock together to make the floor stable and secure. All hardwoods are susceptible to dents and scratches, and this floor behaves as expected.

I have installed this flooring before and loved how easy it was to work with. We decided to eliminate two more rooms of carpeting so it was a no brainer. The Elmwood handscraped look is spectacular when the room is complete. Installation is a snap, literally, each piece just snaps into another, I didn't need any special tools or have to do any banging on it to get it seated right. Quality and finish are impressive.
Pros: High Quality of Material, Easy to Install, Looks Great, Looks High End

love the flooring. half the house has is. just would like to be able to purchase it in the store. the first flooring that we put down we bought in the store but now have to order online. a hassle when you want the flooring now. have it in our entryway, great room (18x30)hallway and our bedroom. will be putting in kitchen soon but have to order it online.
