The fan is sturdy, installs easily and actually adds to our outdoor decor. On the negative side, the blades look very "plasticky" and, even on high the fan doesn't move much air at all. Sitting directly under the fan, it will not even disperse the smoke from the grill.
Aren't fans supposed to move air?
No, I do not recommend this product.

Like the way the fan looks and love the remote control. I put up two of them and it wasnt too terribly bad to do. They look great just wish it came with a little longer down rod.

Nice looking copper-tone fan for our beach house porches. However, they don't stand up to salt air and corrode and flake badly. Also, I didn't care for the conversion to non-dimmable fluorescent bulbs.

We installed 2 of the fans on our new screened in porch. They were easy to put together and install. We did need a longer extention pole, but was able to get them at Home Depot, as well. The remote works great because of the height of the ceilings.

we bought 2 of them. they are a little tricky to get the light kit installed but other than that no problem. we coded them the same and use one remote to control them both.

I have had good experience with this fan. The only thing I can suggest is to increase the flow of the fan. In the outdoors more air movement is needed to effect people. Other than that I am very pleased.

Except the blades keep breaking

I love these fans. We have 3 on our patio. My only issue is that we have high winds and the blades break. So far I've been able to order replacement blades, but they're just a bit pricy. I'd probably see if I could find a model with different blades, given the nature of my location and winds, but except for that odd circumstance, I do like these fans/lights.

After receiving this fan, putting it together and installing it was easy. It has a wonderful rustic look and was perfect for our cabin inspired getaway! I would highly recommend this ceiling fan! I plan on purchasing a couple more when we remodel our porch. They will be perfect outside.

i love the look of this fan on our covered deck. Although we couldn't figure out how to install the remote control feature (it wouldn't all fit inside the fan) it works just as well without it. I would definately buy it again

I really like the look of this fan - we have it on our patio, and it has a nice look. The light was a little dim to begin with, but one it warmed up it provides a sufficient amount of light.

I purchased 3 of these fans for my pool patio 3 years ago.
I got them based on the other reviews. They are are still as great as the day I installed them !!! Will buy more when I extend my patio ... hope they go on sale !
