I have used the mixer several times and it works great! Easily mixes 3 sixty pound bags of cement. Assembly is simple in less than 30 minutes. I took the advice of other reviews and used hose washers on the outside of the tub when installing the mixing blade bolts to prevent any leaks. Also, pouring the dry mix into 5 gallon buckets makes it easier to pour into the tub without the blades catching the paper on the bags. Great price and quality - highly recommended!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Guess you could say, I'm a DIY aholic - that being said, I know you get what you pay for.
Bought this mixer on Friday, along with 19 80lb. bags of concrete - then followed it up by buying an additionl 15 bags on Sat, and 14 bags on Sunday - yep a total of 48 bags mixed by this in one weekend.
It can only handle 3, 80lb (max total weight is 270lbs) bags at a time - also as you are mixing - you'll need to stop the mixer and "pull" the driy mix away from the back of the tub - I used a simple garden trowell - as it seems with a larger volume of mix, the dry gets covered.
This mixer basically allowed me to "survive" as I know I couldn't have mixed all the bags by hand, and I didn't want to pay the rental fee ($50 per day) - -as I still have a good 15 - 20 additional bags to complete my project -
By buying this mixer, I can mix as many or as few as I want each day - and now feel like I have a time line to meet.
Only wish it had a reverse - but and yes I'd buy it again Bottom line - it works great!!
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've used it about 5 times. Its mostly being used to mix cement and soil for bricks, but its sturdy and portable. If anything happens in the first six months I might modify the rating, but so far I have zero complaints.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This little gem went together in less than on hour and has been mixing for me on command ever since. The mixer blades could be a bit better, and I have to use a horse to prop up the handles to get it to mix correctly, but it is easy for one woman to handle, move around, dump out, and cleans up easily. I had a bad experience with one for Harbor Frieght last year. This one goes together much easier, takes up less room, is quieter, and mixes just fine!
On the bad side, it was shipped from the furthest possible point when I ordered it online, and it arrived with some bad dents/gouges in the bottom from the way it was transported. I was too anxious to use it by the time it finally arrived from NJ to address the damage.

I was a little skeptical at first, but after my first job with it, my only real complaint regarding this mixer is why I didn't purchase one a long time ago. If you are mixing any quantity of concrete this thing makes the job easier and quicker. I was able to pour a 4" 24 sq/ft pad in a couple hours by myself. That would have easily taken most of a day using a mixing tub and I would have paid for it physically for a couple more.
A couple of tips: First, I almost purchsed a used one of these I found on Craigslist. It was suppossedly only used once, but looked like it was covered in concrete. So, I passed. However, when I put mine together I noticed the mixing blades are not formed to fit the barrel correctly on the front brackets. Therefore, it was very clear that slurry and water would leak out the bolt holes and potentially cover the barrel. I used some sealing and hose washers to close the gaps and had no leaks. The machine looks as new after my first project. Secondly, if you are using bagged concrete, I found it easier to pour the concrete into a five gallon bucket before pouring into the mixer. When I tried dumping the bags, the blades would catch on the paper and tear pieces off. I then had to fish them out of the batch. Not a big deal and 40lb bags may be easier to control (I was using 80lbs).
Time will tell as to durability. I did check the motor temp a few times while mixing 160lbs and it was fine. Actually, it was barely warm. Who knows, but if it only lasts a couple years it will be worth every penny.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've had this beast for 4 years, and at 2 different addresses. It lives outside, and handles 3 80lb bags with ease. The height of the drum is great for me, I just hoist a bag up and drop it into the mouth, razor knife it open, and remove bag. My motor reverses which makes it easy to pour product out in a controlled fashion. We use it a LOT, and have had no issues with it.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Awesome little mixer. I worked it long and hard the first day. It easily takes 15 gallons of material, or 3 - 80lb bags of concrete with ease. Add water before any dry mix, it works better that way.
Yes, I recommend this product.
