I think this dryer is excellent. I especially love the shoes dryer - every mom that has a kid in soccer, lacrosse, football or track should consider this machine with its platform to dry wet cleats and tennis shoes. Finally! Someone listened to Moms. I can see putting mittens in there during the winter - or anything that needs this option. The other machine features are excellent, I've already tried many of the options - the steam option fixed my wrinkled sweater before work one morning. I like watching the clothes spin, and so does the cat. Thank you LG!!

I must say I was hesitant to by an LG but Consumers Report highly recommended it. I've had my dryer for three weeks and just love it. I wasn't sure if I'd use the steam feature but it comes in handy when I need to get a few wrinkles out and it's nice to not have so much static. The buzzer is very pleasant to here.
I don't miss my old Maytag a bit.

The steam feature is fantastic, just used it for the first time and was very impressed! I've had the machine for 2 weeks and it performs exactly as the great reviews have said!!

This dryer does a good job, and all the specific settings are a help (towels, bulky bedding, etc). We usually select "more dry" (one up from the default setting). Favorite features: Chime sounds, electronic controls and settings, reversible door, capacity. MINOR complaints: If you forget to choose "more dry" after starting, you have to press the stop button, change and then start again; this change should be allowed on-the-fly. A different dryer we had would remember that change if the same master selection was made (the LG does not). The door handle (wide notch at the top of the door) is a place for dust and lint to collect over time, a minor annoyance. On rare occasions, a garment will get caught in a crevice where the lint collector attaches. We also have the matching washer, and are VERY pleased with both. Oh, it is not Energy Star compliant (next model up was, but very expensive). So didn't qualify for an energy rebate from our city. But the LG washer did.

I love this dryer. It works real well and doesn't overdry the clothes. I love the multiple options. Also, most things come out without static, even though we don't use dryer sheets. Very happy with it.
