Been researching deck cleaning products for a while and I really wanted a natural solution for cleaning my deck as opposed to using household bleach (aka Sodium Hypochlorite). First, this product states you can use it in a pump sprayer. This is completely false, it clogged my pump sprayer immediately, the product gets really foamy and the sprayer just can't handle it.
So I resorted to a bucket and a stiff bristle brush. It did not clean the deck good or remove any graying as well as I hoped, the deck is still very gray and kinda dirty looking. A couple places it looked OK.
Some parts of my deck had old stain, so I used a stain stripper (sodium hydroxide) this worked wonderful and removing some of the stain (areas that receive little to no sun left some of the old acrylic stain) and the wood looked like new! Since there was only stain on part of the deck, I used DeckBrite on the areas without stain. You can see a REALLY big difference in the color of the wood between what was stripped, and what was just cleaned with DeckBrite. I bought this house last year, and my guess is the deck had not been cleaned in a very long time, and maybe this product will only work good on decks that are maintained better.
I'm now moving on to using Wolman Deck & fence brightener (oxalic acid) which states on the back of the package "Unlike Wolman DeckBrite it also removes tough stains". I guess you just need the right product for the job.
Do your research before you buy, if you have badly stained/weathered wood, don't use DeckBrite.

Turns moldy wood clean again with minor pressure washing. Great for all wood surfaces and wood looks like new.

We mixed this up in a 1 gallon pressure sprayer. We mixed it with warm water. We wet the deck down with a water hose and sprayed this product on. We let it sit for 10-15 minutes making sure it didn't dry out. Then we scrubbed with a bristle brush broom then rinsed again and it cleaned our deck perfectly. We are very happy with the results and how easy this product is to use. We purchased the 3 lb. jar and have plenty left over for next season. I feel this cleaned our deck better than the tsp/bleach method we have used in the past.

This cleaned my IPE deck pretty well

You have to really scrub the deck after the product is applied and wash off with a strong spay hose for best results. Also use hot water and add the product in small amounts to avoid lumps. It cleaned the deck but some areas needed a second application.

Sprayed this on the fence with a garden sprayer and then pressure washed. Looked great when we were done, and the fence was ready to stain.
