Valve Box Base
No more cutting and sawing to fit your manifold and valve installation. Orbit's Valve Box Base does the work for you with multiple knock-out pipe slots. The easily removable slots are aligned to allow for up to 4 sprinkler header lines from the valve manifold. Simply remove the appropriate about of slots for your installation. No special tools required. Comes with 2 mouse hole covers that can be easily snapped out of the base to cover valve box openings for greater valve protection.

I recently purchased two NDS 113BC valve boxes and two 4-valve manifold setups (the manifolds i bought are made by ActionMachine) which are just a tad too large to fit directly in the NDS 113BC without significant cutting. I was wondering if the Orbit Valve Box Platform 53230 properly fits as a base under the NDS 113BC valve box for housing the 4-valve manifolds. Since I couldn't locate the information online anywhere, I decided to buy them and find out.
I was pleasantly surprised that the answer is yes! They fit perfectly. This platform really makes a fantastic base for the valve boxes, minimizes cutting, and fits even custom valve manifold setups.

Used for inground sprinkler control box, do-it-yourself. Really made putting the controls/pipes together and keeping them aligned easy. Shipping was amazing, I think it took 2 days, wow.

Must-have for installing more than 1 valve

If you get the matching box, this base is key! Worth every penny. As a newbie, I installed a 6 zone system with 2 of these in tandem. Placed in pit with bricks under corners, leveled, filled in with small rocks, placed manifolds and valves in, dropped box on top and DONE! Modified some openings a little with handheld cutter by chipping away the plastic.
I needed to create an extension to connect the 2 manifolds together because of the several inches that resulted between the boxes/bases, so get parts to accommodate this.

I have installed other valve boxes without using this base. The difference it makes is like night and day. I don't know why Home Depot does not carry these in the store.
