I've used this product before, frequently need to replace.
I would currently recommend it, until something that does not damage as easily and does the same job arrives.

This pop up sprinkler head is a rugged somewhat economical head which is easy to install for the average homeowner. It is also easy to adjust and from my experience, lasts for years and years. It is backed back a decent warranty should that ever be needed. My system originally used Toro brand sprinkler heads but these are as good if not better.
Pros: Reliable, Easy to Install

It was easy to install and easy to adjust. Only problem was the pre-installed nozzle flew out on first use and I had to replace with one of the supplied replacement nozzles. It is working so far so good but it has only been one day in service.

I do not normally write reviews but I had to after purchasing this product when my sprinkler head in the back yard got hacked off by my mower (not me!) So I went into my local HD store to see the options I had. After gaining valuable knowledge from the an associate, I chose the Voyager II for the value and application in my yard ( it also looked like what I had) I took it home and screwed it in where the other one came out. Just like that, same size and everything! I guess I was expecting this to be a pain but I was able to easily set it and move on. I would suggest checking this out if you have a sprinkler go out in your yard.

I have use the Voyager II for all of my sprinker heads. Never have had any problems. They have been in place for about four years now. Very easy to adjust and sturdy.

I would not recommend this product. I tried two of these sprinkers at the lower end of their rated radius, about 25 feet. I tried two different Low Profile nozzles that were provided with the sprinkler. Nozzle L1 sent part of the stream into the ground about two feet from the nozzle, causing a lot of erosion and runoff. It would be impossible to use this with lawn seed, and I think if you used it with sod it would erode away the dirt before the sod had a chance to take root. I also tried nozzle L2. This provides a larger radius, but there was no coverage for the first four to six feet. After a few minutes of operation, the ground was completely dry around the sprinkler head. As a comparison trial, I purchased sprinklers from two different competitors, and both of them provided much better coverage than this Orbit. Perhaps it would do better at longer distances, but for my purpose it was unusable and I returned them.

I changed the original sprinkler, after two days sprinkler
jamed would no come up and I could not pull it up. broke it
trying.
replace sprinkler with same orbit same thing happened
discovered that sprinklers have no filter to stop sand from
getting in sprinkler and jamming it. took it apart twice to clean it and tried to get all sand out before putting it back.
a two cent screen on water input would stop this.
never buy again. rainbird is the way to go
