We bought two Bagster Dumpster bags to use as staging areas for our garage cleanup. We had a junk pickup service collect the trash, furniture and junk we put in the bags. When we had a smaller load for a second pickup, we filled one bag and used the second one to shield the items from rain. The junk pickup service was about the same price as having Waste Management's Service collect the bags. Plus the junk could be higher than the top of the bag, the bag could be positioned next to our garage, and the junk service could load other items in the garage for us. It was very helpful to make room in the garage as we cleaned and to have a place to stage things. It also helped us estimate the size of our load since the bag holds 3 cubic yards. The junk pickup team had to be careful not to trip on the bag handles so we tucked them inside the bag.
If you only need ONE Bagster, it's a pretty good value. The pick up cost included with a Bagster is about $200.00. If you need a SECOND one, it is about $370 for only 6 cubic yards total including pick up. Your can rent a 20 yard dumpster for about the same price if you shop around. Getting them to pick it on time is another story. I made 5 phone calls and FINALLY on the 4th day (they say 3 days max), they picked it up and never sent the email they promised for a pick up date. However, they did offer a 20% discount for being late after I protested. Still, the cost for 2 bags and pick up was about $308. Next time, it's a real dumpster for me!
In an attempt to clean up the yard and garage, I took the advice of a friend and ordered a Dumpster Bag. The things that impressed me the most were: 1. how quickly my order for the bag was fulfilled. (plus good value) 2. how sturdy the bag was and how much it held (even neighbors help fill it with their stuff) 3. fast courteous pick up when I was done I would recommend this to anyone who has yard, garage, home clean up that needs to be done, as an economical method for disposal.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Sturdy, High Quality, good value
I was renovating my house last week and had two of these bags I bought from my local Home Depot in the past. I filled them up and called it in to be picked up. They came super fast and were very friendly. I used coupon code I found on the internet and saved $5 off. The whole process was smooth and I would definitely be doing it again. Oh, the coupon I used was 100-WMSAL-241303. I think it's unlimited use too!
Pros: Durable, Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Sturdy, High Quality, Looks Great
Great product, could not be easier. I demoed the majority of my guest bathroom into one of these bags. Cast iron tub, double vanity, toilet, tiles, 2 drop ceilings and glass shower doors. The thing was jammed packed. I ordered the pickup online and they came and got it on the 2nd day following. Definitely worth it!
I decided to renovate my bathroom and was shocked at the expense of renting a dumpster. My Dad recommended this product he'd seen and we ended up getting and filling 3 bags. They sat in my front yard for pretty much an entire month while we worked the remodel and were picked up today. We did call and verify coverage of area before purchasing. I paid $342 for 3 bags pick-up and $90ish on the actual bags. I saved several hundred dollars. My bags were full and awkward, but we had no problems since the handles were tied together as the instructions requested when the man got there.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, reasonable price
Only get it if you don't mind keeping it for at least a week

No, I do not recommend this product.
I was pretty excited to clean my yard and a bagster seemed like an easy enough way of clearing my big garbage. turns out the only easy part was filling it up. Called to schedule it with a delivery coming later in the week and asked for it to be expedited if possible - all they could do was put a note on my account. tried to figure out when my bag was scheduled for pick up they could only tell me if it was scheduled for today or not so i had to call back EACH DAY. When the delievery finally came and my bag was still in the way I spoke to TWO supervisors who BOTH told me they CANNOT get in touch with their dispatch or drivers but every thing is handled internally. My delivery guy had to use his forklift to put my bagster in the street to get my stuff in and now it is just sitting collecting rain at the curb. Considering they have a facility right down the street I do not see how they could not include me in previous routes. I certainly do not understand how they are so incapable of providing basic customer service.
this was the easiest method of getting rid of my project's waste. Just filled it and then went online and scheduled the pickup (after paying fee of course). it was picked up the same day I had requested. One thing to note on the pickup, just make sure they are able to get a large truck next to it. I had mine on the sidewalk next to the street and a neighbor ended up parking in front of it. Luckily they were able to access it via my driveway. If they have to come back they charge the pickup fee again.
Find out what your local pick up cost is before you buy the Bagster - the cost of the pick up can range from $129 to more than $400 depending on where you live. I was shocked by the price increase since my first pick up in July. The pick up waiting time can also range depending on the season and how busy they are. For my first pick up they showed up about a week after I scheduled the pick up, and now in the slower winter months they claim they'll pick it up within 3 days, not counting the day you schedule it or weekends.
The one positive of the Bagster is that in my area you rent traditional dumpsters by the week. Since I was doing a long-term basement remodel, I could break up the debris removal cost and schedule using a couple Bagsters. But, with this price increase and indifferent customer service I can't give them more than 2 stars.
All the debris from my bathroom remodel fit into one Bagster. Scheduled a pickup online on a Sunday and it was gone when I got home from work on Tuesday. I was worried that I had overloaded it but they took it. Easy to set up, easy to fill, feels kind of cheap but it's only making one trip. 3 cubic yards is more than you think.
The bagster worked perfectly for my bathroom remodel. It was the exact size for the amount of debris. When I was finished filling it, I scheduled the pick-up online and they removed it from my driveway the very next day.
If you are considering this option instead of a regular metal dumpster, I highly recommend the following:
- Before you buy the bag, visit the Bagster website, enter your address & zip to verify if pick-up is available in your area - If it is available, check the pick-up fees for your area (these vary by location and load type) - Follow their instructions (on the site) regarding filling. Doing so will ensure there are no issues with the removal of the bag once you are finished.
I have purchased about 8 of these bags during the course of a major home remodel (10 weeks). They are durable and hold lots of trash. My wife did not want a dumpster parked in our driveway so the dumpster in a bag was a good solution. We placed them on the front curb and they were picked up on a weekly or every-other-week basis. Unfortunately one was picked up the day after we put it out, when it was less than a quarter full which was quite a waste. The only complaint would be that the sides, although durable, are quite flimsy and tend to collapse outward as the bag is being filled. The Bagster is not sold in every Home Depot store. Call first. I was told that Home Depot does not sell in stores located in areas where Bagster pick-up service is not available. Overall, though, a good value.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, High Quality, Good Size & Weight
Great product/great concept. We have the art of demolition down, but putting things back together is not our speciality; that requires a contractor. We can, and have, however save a bundle with these bags. We simply purchase the bag, place it by the curb, and fill it up with debris. By gutting the kitchen (cabinets and counters) and bathroom vanities and toilets ourselves, we saved $550 the contractor was charging for "demo and haul away". We were also able to place other items, like an old sliding glass door, in the Bagster. They are tough, hold A LOT, and pick-up is easy. Highly recommend!
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Sturdy, High Quality, Good Size & Weight
Overall very happy with this. Did a bathroom remodel so I got one of these and filled it very full with glass doors, tile, toilet etc. The sides are not stiff so when you first put stuff in they can be annoying and get in your way untill you have enough junk in where the sides stand on their own. Make sure there is available pickup in your area BEFORE you get this and also note the cost of the pickup. In my area it was $100.00 to pickup, well worth it for all the junk I had in there. In my area arranging the pickup was easy, I signed up online with bagster and was able to schedule a day for them to pick it up. No need for anyone to be around when pickup happens, the folks just come with a truck and crane and they lift the bag into the truck no muss or fuss. I was afraid with the weight of the tile & glass the bagster would rip/tear but no problems at all. Just make sure you set it up in location where truck can reach. I think it was 15ft from curb? Mine was closer to 20ft from curb and I let them know they could come up the driveway but when they did the pickup they were still able to grab it from the street.
We purchased a bagster for our kitchen remodel. It was very convenient to just take it home and unfold the bag and start loading it up! They do hold a surprising amount. Sadly, we filled it up and had to get another one, then another one. I must mention that when you get to the 3rd bagster, you probably could have paid for a dumpster instead, so it may not be the right choice for big demolition projects. Otherwise, it's a great idea and Waste Management makes it very easy with online or telephone scheduling for pickup.
Pros: Easy to Use, Sturdy, Convenient

Review 18 for Dumpster in a Bag
PostedAugust 4, 2011
No, I do not recommend this product.
Whether Waste Management will pick up you bag or not is completely dependent on the whim or driving skills of the driver. I was a little dubious when I bought my first bag so I didn't fill it full of heavy stuff just in case. I was around when they came to pick it up so I asked the driver if where I place the bag was ok. He said the spot was no problem. So I placed a second bag in the same spot and filled it up. Now they won't pick it up. The second driver says our driveway is too narrow even though it's 20 feet wide and the same company has delivered full size 15 yard dumpsters in the past. So it's just dependent on the driver and whether he can be bothered. The customer service line was unable to provide an address to which I could send a complaint
The bag was everything it was described to be on the TV commercial it's a good value in the store it held a lot of stuff beware of the additional costs they were quite expensive to have the pick up made. I could have gone to the dump three or four times for the same cost
I used the bagster to finish cleaning up after a remodeling project..Everything fit in the bag, a fullsize dumpster would be a better value, but this was all I needed for our cleanup. Company came the next day and picked it up. Gone , Gone, Gone. Like it was never there.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design
