5-Gallon Helix Paint Mixer

The 5-Gallon Helix Paint Mixer is durably made from polypropylene and specially designed to reach the bottom edges of the paint can for a thorough mix. It mounts to your hex-chuck power drill for impressive speed.

Did some painting on the house. this works great with corded or cordless drill. Plastic tabs break little by little, but the hastle of mixing paint and time saved is well worth this price.

I use a paint mixer attached to my drill to stir a very viscous product that I make. The first one I bought at another hardware store and it had a round shaft. It worked for a while, but eventually the drill chuck could not grip it and I had to go searching for a replacement. I went to Home Depot and bought a really heavy duty one that is elsewhere on this website. It's supposed to fit in a drill with a ⅜ inch chuck. It would not fit in either of my drills.
I returned to the store and bought this one. It's smaller than the heavy duty one I bought but it works great in a five gallon bucket. It has a hexagonal shaped shaft which was the main thing I was looking for. The construction quality seems to be good so I expect it to last. It was $1.00 more than the heavier duty one though. I don't know why. Perhaps because of the plastic helix fins which do a great job of creating a vortex to mix the product.

Used this to mix 5 gal buckets of paint and deck stain. Did a great job of getting in the corners of a slightly dented bucket with the rubber end (no worrying about any little metal shavings ending up in the sprayer either).
Pros: High Quality of Material, Easy to Clean

I use this mixer for paint, joint compound, and patching compound. I use a steel paddle for mortar and other more abrasive material, but it might be okay for single use. It mixes quickly and evenly and I'm satisfied so far.
Pros: Easy to Clean, Easy to Use

I used it to mix some Trowel Patch. Had no problems and worked as advertised. If there is a downside, it is that it is a little bit difficult to get in-between the fins to clean it afterwards.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Difficult to Clean
