This grill was a bit pricey, but boy, is it big. Had it delivered no problem, got my son to help put it together...he's handy that way. All hooked up except for the propane tank which doesn't come with it...set it up on our outdoor patio next to our pool. Looks great out there with the pool. The only thing I would have wanted is a lockable thingy on the wheels. A big wind storm pushed it into the pool...no problem since my son was there and, well, you know he's handy!

This is just an awesome BBQ and as stated by others, the customer service is really great. My BBQ arrived with two dents. Home Depot was extremely responsive and helpfull and replacement parts were here before I could believe it, straight from Weber. Some have complained of rain problems, I have been through two good rain storms with no problems (I do have the Weber cover). BBQ has the BTUs when you need them but can also do excellent slow cooking. Love the smoker and "hidden" rotissery. Definitely would recommend this BBQ.

I've only had this grill for a couple weeks but since then I have used the rotisserie and utilized the smoke box with it twice with awesome results. I have grilled steaks on the searing burners and they where perfect in the center with a nice crust. Chicken breasts and pork chops come out perfectly cooked. There are no hot spots on this grill and everything cooks evenly. I highly recommend this grill.

We have had several grills over the years & by far this Weber grill appears to be the best quality. We enjoy grilling almost year round & wanted to be sure it had a rotisserie and side burner. So far what we have grilled has cooked perfectly--it has a great burner system with easy clean up pans (unlike our other grills). It was shipped to our home--partially assembled. It came well packed & undamaged. The carrier company gladly placed it in our garage, not at curbside. We had to do some assembly but it was minor & easy to do. Although this grill is pricey-- it is clear to see the quality. The real test will be in how long it lasts compared to our other grills--if it does-- then the price will have been worth it!

i have been grillin for over 25 years for the past 20 i have owned a ducane had to replace a few parts that were under warrante other than that it just wore out so i decided to buy this weber summit s-470 thru home depot on line shipping was estimated to be 2 weeks it arrived in 1 week it came pre assembeled {the shipping container was well enginered} the rest of the assembly took about 2 hours this grill cooks flawlessly but because of the flavorizer bar locations it needs to be cleaned after every use the drippings from the grilled items fall directly on top of the burners blocking them partialy so if you dont mind taking the cooking grates,flavorizerbars out of the grill ancleaning them and wire brushing the burners every time you want to bbq this grill is for you the rotisserie setup is second to none i cooked a 7lb prime rib it came out awesome the motor is almost silent the only draw back i can see is the cleaning but the way i look at it for such a large investment and with cleaning after every use this grill should last 20 years PS by all means purchace the grill cover its worth the 50 bucks hope this helps you potential weber grill buyers

This is without a doubt the best grill I've ever owned, and I've owned a couple of top of the line grills that cost 2-3 times as much.
Assembly was easy - I did it by myself.
I love how each burner lights individually just buy turning the knob. The Sear Station is great for steaks. My only advice is you will have to cut down your normal grill time if you use this function. The side burner puts out a lot of heat and works well even during moderate wind. I also really like the smoker. They did a great job of adding this feature while not taking away much grilling space. The grill light is a nice feature; it turns on and off automatically as you raise/lower the grill lid. The only feature I haven't used yet is the rotisserie, but I appreciate the design of the hidden motor assembly.
At first blush this might seem expensive for a grill, but consider it a 10 year investment and you'll be glad you ponied up.

The difference is unbelievable. I love my new grill. Everything about it is top notch. The only con is the price- I realize you get what you pay for, but for a grill- the price is a little steep.

i just purchase the weber s-470 grill to replace an older weber grill that i used extensively for over 10 years. I received the grill intact and used it right away. everything works as designed. the fit and finish are excellent. i will look forward to the quality and many years of service ahead. i would recommend this to everyone.
