I chose to purchase this for an accent to a Tiki bar project I was building and it turned out great. With a quick cut to custom fit the height of the bar, the bamboo was an excellent finishing touch to the overall look.

I searched everywhere looking for bamboo fencing here in Nashville TN for a customer project. My local stores & suppliers did not carry anything, and the reed fencing I did find looks more like grass (and very transparent). This wasn't the effect I was looking for, which was the thicker bamboo poles neatly aligned so there was little transparency through the fencing. I have found other companies who sell it but the shipping is equal to the cost of the product!
When I found this fencing, I read other reviews and the pictures were clear enough to tell that it was exactly what I was looking for. I bought 4 panels and got free shipping (Wow, $90-150 shipping elsewhere), and was on my doorstep within 4 days.

I was immediately surprised how heavy this stuff was. Poor UPS guy has to hand-truck 4 of these up my long steep driveway, at 50lbs each roll! After opening the box I was pleasantly surprised at how great the bamboo looked- about as straight of poles as you can get, they were neatly aligned with maybe around 10-15% total visibility through the poles, you could slide the poles together tighter and re-tighten the end of the wire if you needed less visibility. The very heavy 12-14ga galvanized wire holds the poles together through the center of the bamboo (not wrapped around them) which makes them very neat, hidden, and allows both sides of the fencing to be visible. The bamboo has some type of coating applied on it to protect it from the elements. The one thing I immediately noticed about the great quality, is the fencing does have a specific top and bottom side. The top of all the poles are intentionally cut & aligned to have the natural bamboo "knuckle" at the top of the fence, so there is no hollow area to collect water or debris! (it is a small divot maybe 1/4" deep at most).
I am very picky and quality minded in my work and I searched many vendors for bamboo fencing. This is by far the best quality, and ever better is the lower price and free shipping! I don't write reviews often, but I was so pleased, I had to write this review.

We covered the ugly cyclone fence with reed two years ago and were happy for a short while. It deteriorated fast. I expect this heavy duty bamboo will give us many years of service. We bought 4' size and it looks great. I put my metal lizards, etc. on the bamboo and the yard has a great tropical look.

I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of this bamboo. We use it to hide the trash cans on our patio. It not only does this well, but it makes a beautiful addition to the patio as well. It is well constructed and it looks like it will last quite a long time.

I love this product! I am lining my chainlink fence and it is coming out wonderfully. Very easy install and looks wonderful. Only problems I've found is that the bamboo is splitting in the heat and not every panel is 6 feet, some are a little shorter so it's made for hard measurements. I have sections where I'm going to have to cut a panel to fit the small sections it didn't fit.

This bamboo fencing arrived boxes intact, in good shape. Quality is excellent & solid in strength. We bought 6, 4'x6' sections and zip tied (black zips blend right in) them to the bronzed metal fencing that surrounds our pool. It looks absolutely beautiful with the brown metal fencing. We attached all 6 panels at the far end to provide privacy between ours' & neighbor's house. We had all 6 panels up in less than an hour from unpacking to end of installation. We bought it because of the good reviews. The only thing we noted was some mildew on one of the panels but bamboo is a natural product, was probably wet going into the box and we figured the hot afternoon sun that hits that end of the fencing will kill the mildew. A bleach solution sprayed on will do the same but would probably discolor it so will let the sun do the work naturally. We intend to un-ziptie the fence panels & store them in the pool shed over the winter (we live in PA) & reapply next spring along with a few additional panels we intend to purchase next year. We HIGHLY recommend this bamboo fencing.

We purchased 4 of them to put along a terrace railing and first they fit purfectly, they are very sturdy and look better than the thin bamboo. I really like how it all turned out.

The fencing looks really nice in our back yard. It is a bit pricey for the individual sections given that is made from bamboo which grows like crazy.

We built a frame for the four sections of bamboo fencing and stained the fencing with TWP which will preserve the bamboo. TWP was very hard to find so we ordered online, a gallon, did the job with some left over to stain our adirondak chairs. Good idea to give this stain 48 hours to dry before attaching to fence frame.
The fencing gives the area behind the pond a natural setting and loads of privacy. Light and air filter through (between poles) which is good for plants and wind. We'll see how it ages and stands up to the seasons. But, so far, we're happy with it -- beauty and function rolled into one good purchase.

Cons: home depot needs to stock twp

We were looking for something that would go over our chain link fence and would offer a bit more privacy for us. This was exactly what we needed, not to mention it was very simple to put up and install. We would recommend this product and so far it still looks great a month later...I hope it lasts a long time.

I ordered the bambo privicy fencing. You could see right thu it and did not block out the view of my neighbors deck and backyard. I will be returning this product as soon as I find a way to get it back to a Home 'depot.
