I purchased this bookshelf to hold my 400+ cd's and 300+ DVD's. I had hoped it would be stable enough and of good enough quality that it would match the rest of my living room furniture. When I opened the box, I was relieved to find it was just what I had hoped for. It was easy to put together yet very stable, every piece was solid wood, and once it was standing in its designated corner, it was perfect. I am very satisfied and would recommend the piece to anyone.

This was very easy to assemble, except for one thing. The very top shelf (it's a little wider than the rest) has no holes or markings at all for the screws. I figure I will line it up the best I can, mark it through the holes in the mounting rails, then drill starter holes for the screws. Otherwise it looks great, is stable and very functional.

This bookshelf is gorgeous, sturdy and quite roomy and delivery was very fast.
Puting it together is a two person job, though. It's too big and wobbly until all of the screws are tightened down for one person to manage.
Also, there are two screw sizes provided and my order came with one too many of smaller size and one too few of the larger size.

It's so hard to find real wood bookcases that aren't prohibitively expensive. This bookcase is handsome, filled with light, and well-designed. It's a bit wobbly, but seems sturdy now that the books are in. My only wish is that the bookshelves were adjustable, but otherwise, this was by far the best deal I found. And free shipping!

Overall this s a solid product and it looks great. The wood for this bookshelf is beautifully finished and it looks great when it's assembled. We did have a bit of difficulty assembling one side at a time, and the assembly is definitely a 2 person job. The shipper also damaged the top but Home Depot's customer service was very helpful and got our replacement part quickly.
