This is a great refrigerator. Quiet and efficient. Nice streamlined look. But my favorite part is how the refrigerator part is configured, with deep doors and rather shallow inner part, so that it is easy to store full gallons of milk or orange juice in the doors as well as cheese, eggs and condiments, and easy to see what you have in the main body of the fridge.( In my old side-by-side, the doors were shallow and the fridge part narrow and deep, which was a pain. I would find nasty leftovers way in the back..) Both the fridge and the freezer portions are well-lit as well.
The only part I don't like is that it has a built-in ice cube maker and there is no way to shut it off permanently. I have had nothing but trouble with those and did not have the water hooked up. The only way to keep it off is to be sure the wire arm is always up. It is important to keep the ice cube maker off if not connected, because if it is on, the motor will grind away trying to make ice cubes and eventually the motor will burn out! This happened to my sister so I was alert to the potential problem.
I know, you are thinking, well, get a model with no icemaker, but let me tell you, there are hardly any, and the ones that are that way are mainly small ones for dorms.
I only bought this last month so it is too early to tell about longevity, but so far I am very pleased.

So far so good. This thing is as quiet as a mouse. Haven't had it long enough to see a difference in my electric bill yet, but I'm betting it will. This fridge is 100% better than our old one that we bought in '96. I really have no complaints so far. Ice maker makes adequate amount of ice. Delivery was easy.

It's quiet and bright. I think it will save us on electricity. Freezer on the bottom is ergonomic. A little smaller on the interior than last fridge of nominally the same size. Drawers seem flimsy and the storage on the door wastes space.

I love the pull-out freezer drawers. the icemaker makes ice really quickly so you never are short on ice cubes. The refrigerator being on top is nice, everything is right eye level.

This replaced an 18+ year old refrigerator. Love the lights in both refrigerator and freezer. Doors close solidly, very quiet when running. Don't have the ice maker hooked up as we don't have a water line for it. Not a big deal, I'm used to making ice cubes. Taller than I thought, but it's not in an enclosed space so that's no problem. Very roomy in the refrigerator, a bit smaller in the freezer but we make it work. Am curious to see if there's a noticeable difference in the energy bill. Delivery men did a nice job with taking the old one out and installing the new one. They did bend the handles on our gate backing the truck into the yard, but we were going to replace them anyway.......LOL. Two calls to let us know when they would be there, and actually arrived earlier than the time given.

I love my new refrigerator I have always wanted to have the freezer at the bottom. It is so much easier to see what is in the top of refrigerator now that you don't have to bend over to see what is on the bottom self. I love the ice maker in the freezer. Never had one before and I love not having to fill ice trays.

So far the refrigerator has been dependable. It is attractive with clean lines. One draw back is the piece that covers the upper door hinge is almost impossible to position when installing the refrigerator. I have been pleased with the operation and for the money it is definitely a good deal. Home Depot installers were here on time and worked quickly and efficiently.

Big, sturdy, nicely arranged. Did't know that Amanda and Maytag are the same company. Bought his on ratings from other reviews. I am please with it's sturdiness and appearance/performance. does what it should. Ice maker works great. I will say that it is a bit noisy when it makes ice. I sometimes sleep in the LR because of snoring and I hear it, but I am very close to the kitchen in our open home. Not a problem in the day- don't hear it above other ambient noise.

Love the fridge portion. I can configure it so many ways and the door holds a ton. This replaces my same size side-by-side and I swear this one has a lot more room. I don't find it noisy at all. The ice drops and then the water runs for a few seconds but my old one did that as well. The only issue is the plastic dividers in the freezer. You cannot relocate them yourself (despite the appearance that you can and the parts page that comes with the fridge shows how you snap them in). Per Maytag I had to have a serviceman come out, use a screwdrive and impact wrench, remover the shelf and relocate the dividers. I tell you this to save you from attempting it yourself without appropriate tools. Were it not for this it would have been five stars.

We purchased this fridge in white and it has by far surpassed what i thought, its nice and roomy, there is alot more space then i thought there would be, very quiet, the freezer holds more than i thought it would. Its a great fridge for the price, me and hubby are very happy

I've only had this product for a few weeks, but it is great so far. Lots of room, relatively quiet (although I do not have the ice maker hooked up). It's a nice refrigerator and is a great addition to my kitchen.

This Maytag fridge replaced a 17-year old Freezer on top model. I chose this model because I wanted an energy efficient, bottom freezer, single door fridge. This model had the best energy guide energy use rating (404 kwH per Year!). I am monitoring its energy usage with a Kill-A-Watt meter and I'm really impressed - it uses 50% less energy than my old fridge even though this new model is 4 cu.ft larger. After years of using a freezer on top model, I really appreciate having everything in the fridge section at eye level and accessible. It really makes sense to have the less often opened freezer on the bottom. shelves and door bins are configurable. It is very spacious and quiet. If you're looking for an energy efficient, no frills model with good value this is the model for you. It is made by Whirlpool and basically the same fridge as the Whirlpool version which is sold at a higher price. A couple of things Whirlpool should change on this fridge: make the drain pan removable for easier cleaning, replace the incandescent bulbs with LED lamps. So far I am very pleased and looking forward to many years of energy savings.

So far so good with this fridge. We wanted something with bottom freezer and that was an energy efficient model. The fridge door is a bit heavy, you really have to pull to get it open which is hard for my 3 year old (maybe a good thing!). The bottom freezer takes some getting used to since we have never had one like that, but I like it much better than our old side by side model. I had to add in some additional dividers so I could organize the bins a little more and not have to dig through everything every time I needed something out of there.

This is the second Maytag bottom-freezer refrigerator that I have purchased. It is easy to see what is in the refrigerator and makes access easy. A lot of storage space in the door. The bottom freezer has a pull out drawer which also makes viewing and access very easy. This is the first ice maker I have had and I love it. I have only had it for a week but it seems to be very quiet. I would recommend a bottom-freezer refrigerator and Maytag seems to be very reliable.
