The Hoover Bagless Quick Vac is a lightweight, compact upright with all the features of a full-size vacuum. This vacuum cleaner, which is safe for use on all floor types, features a powerful 12 Amp motor with a brushroll shutoff. Just what I needed. LIght, powerful, easy to clean filter. I have mostly hard wood and tile floors, one room with carpet, stairs and a bad back. I got my money's worth without hurting my wallet/bank or bad back.

This is my second machine. The first lasted about 7 yrs or so and i used it to do all my vaccuming even though we have a big size machine. This smaller lighter one does a fantastic job, even better than the large one, and is so easy to use. Best vac i have ever owned in my lifetime and its so cheap to buy. Love it. Highly recommend it to all.

Evolved blend of features created a vacuum that is inexpensive, very easy to maintain, lightweight, cleans carpets and floors very well, and has just enough features.
I've purchased two of these hoover models, one for my mother and one for my sister- they are very satisfied with the performance and price.
The shorter 20 foot power cord takes a bit to get used to, along with the shorter 11 inch wide cleaning path, but well worth it.

This vac is the best vac that I ever purchased. The attachments are great and work wonders on steps. It is light-weight and small but vacuum the carpet like a big super expensive vac. I'm all smiles bout my Hoover.

I'm really impressed with this little sucker. It's very light, assembles in minutes and the suction is strong. I have three dogs so I have shedding and hairballs just about everywhere and I have to vacuum at least twice a week. This is easy to whip out of the closet and dance around the floor. I only have tile and hardwood floors in the house, no carpet, and just a few throw rugs. It's actually fun watching the hair fill the see-through dust bin.
The on/off switch is perfectly placed as is the roll/bare floor switch. Easy, light, strong, you can't go wrong. There is no height adjustment but really no need for bare floors. The dust bin empties quickly and easily. The filter will need to be removed for washing every now and then and this is easily done as well. All in all, a great little vacuum, it does exactly what I need it to do for a lot less money than bigger vacuums which do much less. Highly recommended.

I bought this vacuum around the same time my sister gave me a gift of a new Dyson. The Hoover Quick Vac is so much easier to use, picks up more, is less troublesome, and much easier to use. Use of attachments, emptying dirt, cleaning filters is very straight-forward, simple, easy. I definitely recommend.

I have been using a full sized 12 amp Hoover for the past 15 years and so I trust the quality of Hoover, so when looking for a new one to replace my old one, (it still works but wanted a change), I wanted a 12 amp vac power, but not invest in higher cost models & hoped to get all the easier cleaning features as well. This is the one!
This one has everything except retractable cord and headlight (never found either a neccessity anyway.) & also only bare floor (agitator brush off) or carpet setting - no height adjustment feature.
Pros:
-- LIGHTWEIGHT -- COMPACT with its push down lock in place handle, -- Fantastic BAGLESS /DUST CUP feature to see all the dust, hair, and dirt you vacuum up, which EASILY EMPTIES from the bottom release clip into the trash, (and so EASY far less complicated than a dyson's dust cup release), -- a WASHABLE and ALLERGY MEDIA FILTER which removes Pollen, allergens, etc down to .5 micron size -- POWERFUL 12 AMP MOTOR (same as my old full sized Hoover), -- and a big Plus -- the ATTACHMENT WAND SUCTION IS STRONG (better than my full sized vacuum!).

Other features: -- Carpet to Bare Floor button operated by foot press -- Easy to connect attachments. And something I treasure after using it -- I love that the attachment wand has a small slotted end so when using to dust under cabinets or on surfaces with items on them, nothing can get sucked into the machine! (except maybe a thin ribbon or a coin on its side) which you will be happy is the case because the suction is that strong! -- Its great for retrieving cat toys and other lost items hiding under low bureaus too lol. Also unlike my old vacuum if something is accidentally vacuumed up, it can be seen via the see thru dust cup and more easily retrieved when emptying the dust cup.
-- Brush attachment did a great job vacuuming cat hair off my bed, comforter, pillows, and the couch. Very pleased with that!
Any Cons? : The only one I would note is due to its smaller size, I notice for my thick wool area rugs I need to go slower and let the agitator run over the area a few times to get a newly vacuumed carpet look that my full upright would do more easily with just two passes.

Great for anyone who can't lift heavy vacuums or find them hard to maneuver and control, for anyone with arthritis - all the operating features are easy to use, great for anyone just tired of lugging around a heavy full size vacuum and also great for anyone like me who gets some odd joy in seeing all the layers of dust and hair being collected in the dust cup too and not have to pay a much higher amount for that odd satisfaction : )

I love this little vacuum. I have a handicapp and this vacuum is lightweight and very easy for me to push around and lift. I cannot believe the suction power of this machine as I feel it does a fabulous job. So happy I gave it a try as I would be lost without it.

I expected to get a decent lightweight vac I could use with minimal back pain. Instead I got much more! Somebody did their homework when designing this one! Bagless - easy to clean - and the suction was at least 20X greater than what I expected. Nice to have my expectations exceeded for a change.

Love it what else you want in $40 works great it's so light and pick up dirt very well. I am going to order one more just to keep it incase if breaks. much better then what I had for paying $299 last time

My children love this vacuum. The children gave it 5 STARS and argued with me why I gave it 4 stars (read-on).
Its size makes it easy for the children to use and can see the gunk collecting in the canister. They are actually competing to use this vacuum.
I bought this vacuum for the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room floors because the beater brush can be turned off for hard floors. (The children don't like sweeping with a broom.)
It was on sale for $40 and free shipping, so cannot complain too much. It is not a main vacuum, but It would be a great only vacuum for a single or a couple living is a small apartment (under 1000 sq ft).
The canister filter works very well which is great, but also a pain because the screen needs to be cleaned frequently with the dust brush each time if you want good/full suction.
After vacuuming carpet in 1 to 1-1/2 rooms or a room and the hallway the canister needs to be emptied. You can empty the the canister 5 to 7 times before the filter needs to be washed. That's why I say its would be a good vacuum for a small apartment or as a second vacuum for hard kitchen, bathroom and/or laundry room floors.
My main vacuum is a dirt devil upright and I purchase micro lined allergy bags on-line where they are 1/3 the cost of retail stores. I toss the bags when they are 1/3 full because the vacuum starts to loose suction; replacing a bag about every 2 to 3 weeks.
The canister on the Hoover makes it easy to check to see if I go all the dirt out of the carpet with my main vacuum.
The Hoover filter is washable but it takes 18-24 hours to dry completely. I called hoover to buy a second filter assembly to do a quick swap (wash dirty filter and let dry while vacuuming with washed and dry filter.)
However, Hoover does not sell separately the filter assembly, nor to they sell the canister assembly for this model. There is a part number for the final filter, but no one on-line seems to carry it. So when the filters/screen wear out, you have to buy another vacuum.
I am no tree-hugger, but having to buy a new vacuum when all you need is a filter--that's not friendly ecologically and not on your wallet either.
When you wash the filter remember to wash the filter from the suction side first to "push out" the dirt from the filter and not drive dirt in further into the filter. I use warm water and the spray in the kitchen sink the get most of the dirt out, then turn the stream on low narrow stream and rinse each pleat "valley" to get out any remaining dirt. Wash the canister housing also. Let air dry in dish rack.

Recap: Not a main vacuum for apartments and home more than 1000 sq ft. 1000 sq ft and under, if you don't want to buy bags, don't mind dumping the canister, cleaning the filter screen frequently and washing the filter and canister...it can be a good main vacuum.

I bought this online (at the time free shipping on any purchase) for my 76 yr old mother. She wanted a lightweight vacuum that she could use on stairs. This works great. Its easy to manuver and the dirt cup is easy to remove. She has arthritis and she can remove it with no problem. The product is a great puchase and the price can't be beat.

We got this for our apartment and I am super impressed with this vaccum cleaner. Its very powerful and easy to use. It is noisy but I dont mind because its suction is amazing. Great value too and not to big. I love it!!!

I bought this as I like Hoover vacs, this one has not let me down. It is awesome if you don't have a lot of storage space, gets pretty small for a vac. Has good suction, and if it is like its larger vac's it will last a really long time. My last hoover fell apart before it quit working lol. I can only hope this vac will last as long. I say yes, for the price and the size it is well worth it, totally compact and lightweight, which is really nice too! The lightweight style is great, I have a very bad back, this vac is easy to use which was a large part of the decision as well.
