1/2 in. x 2 ft. x 3 ft. Cork Underlayment Sheets for Tile, Laminate and Floated or Glue-Down Wood Floors (25 Sheets)

QEP Natural Cork Underlayment is ideal for reducing sound transmission from upper levels to lower level living spaces. Under ceramic tile, on a 6 in. slab with a suspended ceiling in the floor below the acoustical ratings for the 1/2 in. cork are STC 89 and IIC 88. These ratings are outstanding since architects typically require minimum ratings in the 50’s. Natural Cork Underlayment can be used under ceramic tile, porcelain tile, stone, marble, engineered hardwood and laminate floors. Natural Cork Underlayment also acts as a crack isolation membrane that resists the transfer of cracks from the subfloor into cracked tiles on the finished floors. Natural Cork Underlayment also reduces thermal transmission, increasing the effectiveness of floor heating systems. Natural Cork Underlayment is easy to install with Roberts cork underlayment adhesive.

I purchased this 1/2 in. cork underlayment to go on the wall in my office/music studio. The other Studio quality solutions would have looked much better but ranged in price from $600-$1000 and this entire package of cork ran me $200 plus the cost of the bucket of adhesive to place the cork on the wall. I have a new house in Alabama and here they do not insulate the "Inside walls" just the outside ones. Well let's just say if somebody is snoring in the room next to my studio I can hear it 100%. I placed the cork on the wall and the door that faced the inside of the house so as not to disturb my Wife when playing music or my guitar.
I also put some behind the washer/dryer room that is next to my office. All I can say is that "It Works" It doesn't black out 100% of the sound but it does more than wall insulation would ever do. Now if I had this house built I would have put the sound barrier they sell in the music stores online to block out even more sound. I still have my sound diffusers on the wall so every little bit counts.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I was looking for material to install a cork wall for pinning up notes and artwork. Many cork suppliers I found were too expensive for too thin of material. But this stock that Home Depot carries is perfect and was the best value I could find.
Installation was fairly easy. I used a combination of strong, removable adhesive strips and some nails for added support. I had to shave the edges of some of the boards, but that was due to irregularities with our wall.
We ended up laying out the panels to span an entire wall at a height of four feet. Although it serves a primary functional purpose, it's added a nice warmth to the place. I'm thinking of painting a stencil over it or even doing a mural piece. It'll be interesting to see how the cork holds up overtime.
Pros: Easy to Install, Looks Great, Great Accent, Effective, unbeatable value, lightweight
Yes, I recommend this product.

I put this under some bamboo flooring on the second floor of my home, (in a bedroom). I wanted to make the floor a bit "softer" and also reduce any footstep noise for downstairs people from the bedroom above. The product installed easily, (glue was recommended, but I used staples to make any future removal an easier process).
A side-benefit was that laying out the cork tiles confirmed the actual squareness of the room, (I'd measured it 6 times, but really couldn't believe it was square), which made the flooring install that much easier.
Note that a full box of 25 tiles is rather heavy, but they come wrapped in 5-tile bundles, making it much easier to move them around.
I used a box cutter to notch/cut the cork, and it worked great. I would definitely use this product again.

This pack came with 25 sheets that were all square and of consistent thickness. It was packed well and there were no dents or chipped edges. That was very important to me as I didn't plan on using it for it's intended purpose. I used it for a cheap alternative to cork board, which really worked out well for me. I hung it on the wall with some construction adhesive and thin gauge finish nails to hold it until the glue dried.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I installed three rooms using the cork rolls. These new sheets make the job so much easier. And the extra thickness really helps keep the noise level down. Love the product.

Used this to cover my hardwood flooring temporarily, so my dog with an injured leg (torn ACL will take 4-8 weeks to heal) could walk around without slipping -- and would be softer if she fell. Carpeting would aggravate our family's allergies and though this had a not unpleasant "cork" odor when it was first opened, but it was gone within a few days. Looks decent too!
Yes, I recommend this product.

I installed it under my cork floor in my wine cellar for insulation and comfort. Installation was really easy. The sheets are uniform, durable, and cut easily with a sharp blade.
