Installed this about 2 weeks ago, to replace a smaller 30 gallon water heater for our office. This heater services a mens & womens bathroom (30 feet away), and a kitchen sink (10 feet away) area. Unit works very well so far!
I love that there is no longer any worries about my hot water heater corroding out and flooding my office (yes, has happened).
For handyman types, very easy to install & plumb. It comes with a relatively short electrical cord, I had to change out to a slightly longer one (used the one from the old water heater). Super easy to mount.
Amazingly small, I now had a ton of extra room in our storage closet.
Pros: Easy to Install, No Leaks
Yes, I recommend this product.

Needed water heater for a cabin my wife and I updating. Added bathroom and kitchen to cabin. Was told by local plumber that this would not work for what we needed. I installed it, and it works better than we ever expected. The pre-set temp of "Medium" was scolding hot so we turned the temp down. Make sure you read the instructions before. No need for 1/2 in female connecters, just straight 1/2 in copper tubing with included couplers. Easy to install, and I actually put a frame around it in bathroom. Installation of the electrical was easier. Wife took looooong hot shower and never loss temp and I took one afterwards and never got cold once.
Pros: Reliable, Easy to Install, Good Instructions, No Leaks
Yes, I recommend this product.

We just installed the unit yesterday and we've showered and have done some laundry. It has worked like a charm! I read all the reviews prior to buying it (all being good) but still had my worries. I think its hard to make big changes. This tiny little box does the trick. It serves two bathrooms with showers and a laundry room. So far all is great! I highly recommend this unit for smaller uses. If looking for a whole house heater you may want one that has higher output.
Pros: takes up little space
Cons: need electric and plumbing knowledge
Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this for whole house water supply for 2 bedroom house and its perfect, always have HOT water and saved @ 50.00 off first electric bill. Easy to hook up and saves alot of space. Hint, just get reducing fittings and two 1/2 in copper pipe @ 4 inches long each and thats it to convert from 3/4 in to 1/2 inch.

Keeping in mind I do plumbing and electrical work, so I didn't have any costs there other than materials, it was easy to install. We have a small two-story house, single bath upstairs and this unit is it my basement. No problems at all...it takes about the same amount of time to get hot water to the furthest run, but once it gets there it's just as hot and stays hot. Full use here is 1 shower, 3 sinks, and a dishwasher. I would and have recommended them. If there is a word of caution, be sure about your electric service. This unit requires a 60 Amp line and seems to use it.
Pros: Easy to Install, Good Instructions, No Leaks
Yes, I recommend this product.

We haven't had a chance to see how well this unit heats water because I, being the layperson, didn't realize we needed a dedicated 60 amp circuit to run it for our attic bathroom. It is marketed as a "220V, 13kW" system; you have to read the fine print to note it needs a 60 amp circuit when most electric HW heaters required 30. I hope it works once we have the electrical work done. We are lucky our main board can support a 60 amp circuit, or it would require $1000's to upgrade our home for more current.
Pros: won't develop a leak in future, good for small spaces
Cons: No Instructions, electrical requirements, not a good solution for a whole home.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I was skeptical, however after installation I took the first shower and was astonished! It ran flawlessly! Only issues I ran into was the fact that it came prewired with 8 awg NM wire which is rated for 40 amps nominal. The unit can consume 52 amps! It required 6 awg NM wire which can run at 55 amps nominal. Why it came with 8 awg I don't know. The install instructions were not the best but did work. Something to note is that you can not use shark bites to ease the install since it will interupt the grounding of the device. A
majority of the ground is done through the copper plumbing. If you are installing this device with pex you must ensure proper/sufficient grounding. My national grid bill dropped by almost 100 dollars last month. I am sure this on demand heater was a large part of the savings.
Pros: Easy to Install, No Leaks
Cons: instructions could be improved
Yes, I recommend this product.

I WAS SKEPTICAL WHEN I SAW THE SIZE OF THE UNITS, HOW CAN THIS LITTLE BOX DO WHAT IT CLAIMS. BUT THEY DO, BY GEORGE. ONE UNIT FOR THE WASHER AND SHOWER, AND THE SECOND UNIT FOR THE KITCHEN SINK AND BATHTUB. THEY ARE SET TO MID RANGE, ARE MORE THAT HOT ENOUGH TO SHOWER AND BATHE WITH. SO AS OF 2 WEEKS INTO THIS NEW SYSTEM, EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE A GO!!!

I live in an area without natural gas, just propane or electrcity. When my propane water heater died, I viewed it as an opportunity to go both tankless & electric. Propane has followed gasoline pricewise- ever increasing. What I used to get for 79 cents/gal. now is $4. Electricity has only risen slightly. This water heater supplies the whole house, and I notice no difference in hot water supply, other than its now endless! With sharkbite fittings to convert from 1/2" pipe to 3/4" supply lines, installation was easy. I also like no pilot light, concern over gas leaks or carbon monoxide poisoning. Plus I live in Calif., so no worries over an earthquake toppling a huge heavy tank with its water & gas supplies rupturing. Works great.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this for a guest house we have which has a shower, bathroom sink, and little kitchen sink. So far it works great. There's plenty of hot water for the shower and it recognized the lower flow from the sinks and heats that up to. The half inch compression fittings on the water heater are a pain. There's no real good way to adapt from 3/4 inch FIP to 1/2 compression that I could find. They really need to make the fittings on this the same as all other hot water heaters so you can just use regular hot water heater hoses.
Some people have said that the water only gets warm. I suspect that they did not understand the black and white wire on the unit and hooked them up like a regular 120 volt circuit. Since it's 220, both the black and the white lines are hot, the white is not a neutral like you would expect. This is generally the wrong coloring and they should fix this. It should be red. So if you've used the white (neutral) from your house circuit, you are only giving the unit 120v and that would be a reason it's not heating up.
So far so good, let's see how long it lasts...
Yes, I recommend this product.

Bought for horse barn tack room small on wall mounting so takes up no floor space warm water in 15 seconds and hot in 20 seconds, Like the fact that am not paying to keep tank water heater mantaining hot water, Only issue connection for water line on both sides leaked even though very tight removed and used teflon tape problem solved, Imperative that a water tight juction box for electrical connection be used as the unit only has an 18 inch electric cord so in is in the area of water supply, I used a 60 amp GFCI for the breaker

I installed the Rheem RTE-13 in my detached 25'x25' garage/shop that I just had finished and insulated. I have a deep sink that I use for washing hands, auto parts, etc. This little water heater puts out constant hot water even with the faucet on full blast. I have it set on "H" (not all the way past "H") and it makes 120-degree water at a flow rate of 2 gpm. The incoming water is 58 degrees. The water temp will flucuate a little as the unit modulates power. It also requires at least 36" of non-metal tubing on the inlet and outlet connections.
I paid $240 including shipping for the water heater, $80 for the 6/2 wire & electrical stuff, and $75 for copper tubing & other plumbing stuff. That's a total of about $400 which isn't much more than what a quality tank-type water heater costs, but I won't be paying for keeping water hot while not using it.

We are very impressed about this "small" but yet powerful water heater, it works perfectly fine. Hot water runs in all the water faucets and showers of our house. At first we were a little hesitant about its size, but believe me size don't matter. It was easy to install and it has been working perfectly since then!! I really reconmend this product!

Not sure if I would recommend. We are very comfortable doing these types of projects. We thought this would be good replacement for camping trailer, got it all hooked up, Water barely got warm. Did all the suggested trouble shooting, no luck, had to return it. Ended up buying gas water heater specifically for campers.

installation is advanced, do not attempt to install without an electrician or plumber unless you are very comfortable with this work, if installing into cpvc unit required 36" of copper before and after unit as well as a pressure relief valve. 240v line must be run exclusively for this unit. Unit functions well and water gets hot within 18 sec! My water comes straight from the well at about 55degrees. I have the unit dialed in just over the low setting and I dont need to adjust with cold water in the shower. People with well water should be warned that the varying psi in the line will affect the constant heat that the unit puts out ( when pressure is low unit turns off, then back on when the pump kicks on and brings the pressure back up ) so some temperature spikes occur. I have decided that the temp spikes are bearable and a fair trade off for not having a traditional water heater. This unit is hooked up to the shower only, however, I would have plumbed it into the sink as well had I known how strong the unit would perform, definitely enough for a bathroom and laundry room possibly even the kitchen if water was run in alternate use.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I replaced a leaking 50 gallon tank water heater with this little unit. It is for a 2 bedroom 1 & 1/2 bath house. Be sure to have a 60 amp breaker! It heats the water quickly and continues to provided heated water for a hot shower. Amazing for such a compact unit! Easy install. I would recommend this unit to anyone wanting to save money on heating their water!
