It is much lighter but it manages to retain all of the strength of a normal weight sheet. I will definitely by it again for my next project.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This new lightweight gypsum panel is significantly lighter than regular sheetrock, but it also seems more brittle

I like this product. It is a lot easier to carry and maneuver on the job site. It seems to be just as stiff/strong as regular sheetrock. One thing I did notice is that when cutting off relatively narrow strips (e.g., 3 inches or so), the strips have a tendency to break more than regular sheetrock does.
Pros: Performs Well, Light Weight
Cons: narrow strips more brittle
Yes, I recommend this product.

This ultralight drywall is easy to work with even in the 12 footers. The weight difference is substantial and allowed me to handle these sheets by myself. They scored and snapped very well.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Better read the reviews for the 4' X 8' size. Yea its lite weight al right but that maybe the only PRO it has going for it.
Pros: Light Weight
Cons: Inconsistent, brittle, dents easy, expands and contracts to much
No, I do not recommend this product.
