This is some of the best insulation that I have ever used. In my mind it is second only to sprayed foam insulation. Easy to work with, easy to cut (just use a butter knife), less itchy than fiberglass. Higher R value than fiberglass for the same thickness. It costs a little more up front, but it pays for itself in my mind.
Yes, I recommend this product.

i bought this stuff to insulate the basement of my 70-year-old home, and am very impressed with the results. i found the product really easy to work with, it cuts beautifully with a serrated steak knife making cuts for obstructions quick and clean. the friction fit is much nicer to work with than a paper faced fiberglass, and allows a much tighter install. i haven't noticed any itching when installing the product, but i'd probably still wear a respirator for safety's sake. The sound absorbing property of Roxul is impressive, my frame house is alot more quiet. i also like that its fire resistant up to 2100 degrees, critters wont eat it, mildew and rot resistant, and formaldehyde-free.
i was so impressed with the results that i plan to add this between floors to keep the noise between 1st and 2nd floors to a minimum. while it costs more than the typical fiberglass insulation, the benefits definately outweigh the added cost of the Roxul.
my only complaint is that this stuff wasn't readily available in the states years ago.
Yes, I recommend this product.
