This was the best inexpensive purchase I have ever made. After several bottles of spray and a local pest control company. I was tired of nothing working. Ants started appearing in my kitchen everyday and everywhere and also in my garage. It was crazy. I used 3 in my kitchen and 2 in the garage. I have not seen any ants in about a month. You won't be disappointed!

Spring is here so all the ants have resurfaced from their winter hibernation and tried to invade our house to restock their food supply. I went to the home depot and found a whole isle of various brands and products to stop the invasion. I can't speak on every product but I can say that this one DID work as advertised.
We setup several bait traps along their pheromone trail. You need to have patience and don't expect them to just go right in the trap. After a few hours I checked the traps and the ants had swarmed them. Same story the next morning. After 24 hours we only saw one or two ants lingering in the traps and NO more ants traveling back and forth on their trail. The invasion has stopped. Thank you Terro!!!! You have our recommendation!

If you have the small ants invading your home you must get this product! It's the absolute BEST ant killer I have ever seen in my entire life! They were ALL gone in 24 hours...follow directions and if you want to WIN the war with the little invaders this is THE one to get.

First let me note that the product description is wrong. This product (Model 309) is the same product as Model 300 except that it is a bonus pack which includes 9 bait stations rather than the 6 included in the Model 300 which sells for the same price.
I used this product on the common small black ant and placed the bait stations on both a patio and an enclosed porch. Within an hour, the bait stations were swarmed with ants. It takes a bit of time to erradicate the ants. Terro's web site says that it takes 1 or 2 days but at least in my case, perhaps because I may have had a large number of large nests, it took about 4 days to erradicate the ants. I tried a number of other products such as Hot Shot liquid ant bait that didn't work at all on the small black ants.

I use these at home and at work! No smell, no mess. To prevent them from getting kicked, I use a thumbtack to tack them to the wall near the problem.

Bought this last year since it looked different than other bait traps. Put several down in different ingress points and the ants went crazy for the stuff, bypassing the cat food.
Amazingly within a few days, the ants were gone. We get a lot of visits and we leave them in place, our cats don't even notice the bait traps and aren't attracted to play with them.
We'll be ant-free for about a month when a new colony will show up, but, they're only around for a few days and poof, ant-free again.
This stuff works better than anything I've tried before.
We bought another box of six this year and it works exactly like last year, what a joy.
Buy it, no more ants.

I put a terro bait station on my kitchen counter where i had the ant invasion and they were gone within 2 days. these were the tiny ants that the bug spray doesnt seem to affect. no ants for almost 2 years now.

Its difficult to reconcile my results with all the glowing reviews here, but after a month of constant activity at the six bait stations I placed near my garden and around the pool, we haven't seen any reduction in the number of ants that constantly swarm the ant killer. We have purposely not sprayed any other products on the ant lines to give the bait a chance to do its job, but we're losing patience. I did some spraying around the house today with "Home Defense", a good product, but not one that will ever destroy the nest. It's really too bad. The ants go crazy for this stuff!

First off I sprayed inside my house had a trail of ants and the next day they were all over my computer desk So I sprayed once again. Then trying to go to sleep that night was hard thinking i had ants On me. So I then searched The web for good ant killer found Terro seen the best reviews on this and set up the traps the next day and not even 10 mins I had a small trail and I would check every so often and it looked like the whole colony came u will be tempted to kill them but dont it took 2 days until for them to stop and I have been ant free for over 3 weeks now. I recommend u to watch terro videos its amazing stuff.

I am usually very skeptical about any product I buy as usually they do not work exactly as promised. Very rarely I stumble over the product that does a really good job and that I would want to recommend to friends and family.
The TERRO Liquid Ant Defender worked literally like magic. We got some little, tiny ants traveling from the kitchen window all over the kitchen countertop. I didn’t look at Home Depot website before I bought this product – just picked it from the shelf.
In the evening we set two of these stations next to the sink under the window where ants were coming out. Next morning I saw the whole crowd of ants eating this stuff like creasy and going back to their nest (I guess). The next morning all of them were GONE! Today is the third day and we didn’t see any ants coming back. Amazing!!!!

We tried several other brands of ant repellents that didn't work before someone recommended Terro. After putting one station out, in two days the ants were totally gone!!!

The bait stations were placed as per directions, sure enough the ants started getting into the bait but then seemed to die right there. After a few days the bait stations were full of ants and the other ants seemed to multiply around the bait. So some ants were killed but we still have the prblem with ants that we had before.
Pros: Easy to Install
Cons: still have ants.

Bottom line is it works as advertised! This product brings out the ants, so at first you'll see a bunch of ants, you can see them go back towards the colony. They feed the colony and themselves and before you know it no ants!

to say the least, after having tried no less than 6 of the heavily advertised brands in their various 'flavors', i was resigned to my fate of continuing to experiment when i stumbled across terro.
i was a bit taken back by the fact that people actually wrote in to praise a bug-killer of all things.
well, seeing is believing, add me to the list of praisers.
i put 2 on my countertop near the sink (where the problem was) about dusk. i check around midnight and there was a 'crowd' at the trap but not a 'swarm'. in the morning there was nothing to see.
the next night there was nothing to see.
the next day there was nothing to see.
what i'm saying is, is that my problem disappeared in one 8-10 hour 'session' with terro versus the 4-5 weeks i'd been wasting time with by using 'the other stuff'.
gone, disappeared, out of town.
it's going on 7 days now!
buy this product.

Have no idea why other chemical manufacturers are working so hard. It's simple: boric acid, water and sugar. In these amounts it's effective at killing ants, safe and non toxic to pets or humans. Nicely played.

i experienced a recent ant invasion in my home. First the ants were coming through a gap in the hardwood floor by the front door. I placed a couple of Terro liquid ant bait stations in the path the ants were traveling. The ants were drawn to the bait by the first day. By the third day, the ants had left leaving some dead ones behind and they havent been back since (day 3).
Then yesterday ago ants were coming into the master bedroom through the floor/baseboard. I placed a trap in the bathroom and left for work. When I got home the trap was swarming with ants eating the bait and returning to their nest. Today is the second day and no live ants are coming into the bathroom anymore. Only some dead ants on the floor. I will leave the bait out for a few more days just in case.
This product worked for me and I highly recommended it.

I was finally going to call a pro in to handle the yearly flock of ants in the kitchen. This year it was worse then ever and I used everything off the shelf. Read a review online here and decided to try it. After about a day there were only a few stragglers roaming and dying off! This stuff works!
