OK under the right conditions

No, I do not recommend this product.
I needed to replace a side burner in an outdoor kitchen so I bought this unit. I think it might be OK under the right conditions, but one needs to be careful.
1. The only exit for the propane hose is toward the front left side. There is a removable spill plan below the unit that blocks the hose from going down, and there are no other holes in the sides to offer an alternative route for the hose. This was a big problem in my case, as the construction of the concrete countertop blocked use of the only route for the hose to reach the propane tank.
2. I'm an admitted novice at outdoor kitchens, but I have yet to find a way to connect the propane hose to tank. The burner hose has a quick release fitting at the end, apparently for a 1/4 inch connection. I can't find an in-store adapter that allows me to connect with a split propane line that serves the grill and the burner. I've found something that looks likely on a big online store, but it remains to be seen. Likewise, I've been unable to separate the quick release fitting from the threaded fitting so I can't explore a non-quick-release adapter. So, the burner remains unfueled.
3. The size of the opening for the side burner for my outdoor grill was a bit wider than this grill. I had to do some creative metalwork to fabricate a ring around the opening that would support the burner in the correct position. This might be true of other burners too - it seems there are no standard sizes.
So, just be cautious - if you can deal with the hose leaving the unit high on the left, and you know how to cope with the quick release fitting, and your opening is the right size, this unit will work.
The quality of the construction seems ok. It looks good. I just haven't been able to use it!
Pros: inexpensive
Cons: difficult to connect

I ordered this product online a few months ago and finally got it installed with my new outdoor kitchen island that I had built. The guy who built my island also converted it to natural gas in less than 10 minutes. I like the value of it, but must agree w/everyone else...when it rains, the water gets in the bottom tray. I'm not complaining though...I just remove the tray and throw the water away. You can't really complain - the price is great!
Pros: Easy to Clean, Large Cooking Space, Distributes Heat Evenly

This side burner works well - it produces significant heat and will heat a large pot of low country boil, but...
The thickness of the metal is quite thin - be careful not to bump the faceplate or lid, they will dent easily.
This burner will perform as well as a similar unit that cost 3 times as much - overall a great price.
Pros: great performance at a great price
Cons: lightweight construction

Great Price for a drop in. Converted to natural gas. Only issues are, no way to properly cover it from rain, so rain sits in drip pan and will begin to rust the stainless steel. Fires up every time. Easy to install.

This side burner works great with my Brinkmann 4 burner drop in grill. It hooks up very easily with the quick connect couplings.

As far as the knob I used a strong glue to hold it in place, works well for the price. Reason I bought this was dual fuel usage and good price.

The side burner was stolen out of my BBQ, units that fit ranged in price from $300 to $700. I am no great BBQ'er, but it will boil water and heat beans along with the best, oh ya, It fit my island well too.

We use it outside when we don't want our house to smell like onions or strong spices. It works for us.
