We purchased this A/C unit after our old long-suffering portable gave up the ghost. While we have central A/C in the house, it does not sufficiently cool the upstairs during the summer so we rely on a portable A/C to keep the bedroom bearable. It doesn't seem to cool as well as our old unit although it does make the room more comfortable than it would be without it. It is also very noisy. A great deal of condensation forms on the outside although I check frequently and haven't found any evidence of it dripping on the floor.

I don't have a lot of experience with room air conditioners. This one was purchased for my huge living room with no usable windows for a traditional A/C. I installed it just last week, and it seems to work pretty well. It's definitely a lot more comfortable in my living room now! I really want to put this thing through its paces by getting the room down to 68°, but my wife won't let me.

I'm not complaining about the warm winter but it's getting quite warm and humid too soon. My kids were complaining about being too hot to sleep and I could see that they were perspiring. Got this setup in the room and cooling really fast. It's cooling well and the timer function turns it off once the room is cool enough. it's loud when you leave it on high but on low fan it's not noticeable at all. it's worked out well for us for the past couple of weeks.

Vents adjust right and left but not up or down. It blows straight out to cool the lower part of the room but not the upper part. When you stand up you feel the warm air above.

I got this unit for my bedroom, which by design in my apartment is cut off from the living room a/c by a corner and a hallway. No cold air was getting in there. I did my research and I found this one. It works AMAZINGLY! I live in so/cal and the 100+ degree days are brutal, but this unit will cool my entire 300+ sq foot room in about 5-7 min on high then if I leave the door open, it cools the rest of the apartment too (800+ sq feet). The unit doesn't drip or leak, but can be a bit difficult to empty because the drip hole is level with the floor. I couldn't get a bowl in there, so i just put down a thick layer of paper towel and had it soak into there, which worked well. The only negative I can really say is that it can be a bit loud. I don't really mind but I can see if your a light sleeper and plan on having it on all night, I can see how someone might complain. Otherwise, it's a pretty amazing A/C

The exhaust hose is not long enough to reach windows higher than 30" above the floor and the window insert has limited adjustment, it did not extend long enough to work in my window.

Replaced a 9,000 btu LG that went out after a year and this unit didn't even cool the room as much as the lower btu unit. The water needed to be drained at least twice a day in low humidity. Granted the temp was 110 degrees outside, but expected more. Even when the temp outside was lower, the room with this unit stayed at 95! It was set up to specs in the manual. Do not get this unit if you are in higher then 95 degree weather and it's a gamble if you are in lower!

We purchased the portable airconditioner for use during the heat. Since we have purchased it, we have not had any warm weather, so we have not really used it. We have tried the fan, speed, etc. and found it to run quietly. We just trust that next year it will work fine.

No more heavy lifting. Convenience is a plus. . Just not as efficient as my 10,000btu window replacement. Duct tape needed to hold the vent hose in place. Otherwise it easily would disconnect. No up/down fan direction. Only left/right.

I shopped around quite a bit online for the right AC for my apartment's living room. This one has exceeded my expectations. I have a large, open living room and it has no trouble cooling it, especially when I place an oscillating fan in front of it to better disperse the air. I don't mind the look of it (sleek, good design). Only negative feedback is that I had to construct my own makeshift window vent because my window was too tall which for some reason I did not anticipate. Overall, very satisfied with this AC and very happy I bought it!

Very effective cooling for our older home. The only draw back is the installation into the window. The venting attachment into the window is lightweight plastic and will need modification to hold it in place and to provide a better seal when we install it again next season. Duct tape around the the plastic panel, as recommended in the instruction manual, did not seem like a good idea and we opted for foam strips instead.

AIR CONDITIONER SO FAR WORKS WELL PROBLEM I HAD IS THAT THE WINDOW SLIDER KIT NEED TO BE MORE ADJUSTABLE.I HAD TO CUT A PC.OF SO IT WILL FIT MY WINDOW ALSO THE HOSE IN ORDER TO SECURE IT NEED TO USE DUCT TAPE.I ONLY USED SO FAR 1 DAY IT DOES KEEP MY ROOM COOL

I have only had this product for a week but I can truthfully say it is the best portable air conditioner I have ever had. I live in a building that doesn't allow window air conditioners that protrude outside. This is the first that didn't require emptying a bucket twice daily. I am impressed at how cool it keeps the room. Now if it just holds up through time, I'm perfectly happy.
