Charcoal Grill

I have used this grill over five times now. Assembly took me 2 hours - But, hey, shouldn't you be excited to put it together?
Grill has all the important features - adjustable vents, coal height adjustment, access door, etc. It is decent, medium to large size grill. We use it every week. I think people should not complain too much about quality - I paid, $80.00 - 10% coupon. For this kind of money, there is a slight compromise on quality, but, overall it is OK to good quality material. Grill itself is nice, and if it lasts me at least 2 years..I know I have made worthy of every single penny! (If it is maintained, covered, seasoned using oil on the outsides, etc.. which I do, it should last more than that. Note: The Instruction booklet has good information about how to season it and maintain it)

Excellent grill for the $80 price point. I personally do not think the metal is to thin. As for assembly very easy. The instructions are precise and to the point,as long as you have an ounce of common sense you will have no problems. it is a very sturdy and quality grill.This grill cooks everything perfectly. Love the adjustable coal pan and the removable ash pan.

I agree with one of the previous reviews, very thin sheet metal used in the product. Had my doubts putting it together that it would even stand up straight. Once I did tighten it all up it turned out to be a very nice looking grill. Just seasoned according to the directions and cooked on it last night and everything came out great. My thoughts are this will have to be stored inside when not in use in order to get 2-3 years usage.

this could be an awesome grill if only:
1) the metal was bit more sturdy, it seems a bit flimsy, mine was dented in a few areas but not bad enough to take it back after it took me 1.5 hours to assemble it
2) casters on all four legs, or a least a handle to wheel around vs using the shelf as a pusher.
3) two shelves would be better
4) a pull out charcoal tray, not just a door to open and throw in more charcoal
5) a cover that actually fits this model
6) hooks to hang my cooking utensils on
...otherwise it is a nice grill and I would recommend it at the <$80 price point.

Not too difficult to put together. (Actually i only watched).
But there was no arguing or bloodshed . We were missing 3 pieces . The customer service was great when i called. they answered within 1 minute. i received my parts within 10 days.

I haven't even had a chance to use this yet! It is taking FOREVER to put it together! I am NOT one of those people that just tries to put something together without reading directions but the directions for this grill are almost impossible. The first obstacle I've come across was with Step 2, you're suppose to put the firebox door on to the sides, well the problem with that is they pack the firebox door inside the lid and it is nearly impossible to get it out! Another obstacle is the only thing they label is the legs. They don't let you know which is the top or bottom of the firebox back. I almost got the grill put all the way together (after 2 1/2 hours, unlike the hour they say it will take you in the instructions) only to discover that I am now going to have to start all over again from a simple error that could have been avoided if the company had labeled the firebox back with a "T" sticker indicating that was the "Top". I wish I could tell you how well it cooks but based just on putting this thing together I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy!

The grill was assembled quickly and pretty much the way the instructions indicated. The only minor issues are some slight dents that did not come from shipping. We've used the grill for a couple of weeks now and it works very well

this product is easy to assemble and i already enjoyed using it, had our first cook out this weekend and it was great, the cleaning is also very easy to do, i would recommend this grill to anyone, big enough to handle all of the cooking you need to entertain outside

One use so far and was impressed. Adjustable charcoal bed makes the grill. Great air flow to adjust flame. Longevity will be the test now.Great price now we can see how long it last. Good grill for not allot of money.

This is only the 2nd grill I've ever owned, but I find nothing at all wrong with it except it could have used a place to hang tools (which I added myself). Only other drawback is that I can't find a custom cover for it. I did a lot of research before finding this one - (Charmaster, CharGrill, Weber, Aussie, etc.) This was by far the best value for money - pretty decent heavy gauge steel, iron grates, thermometer, stack, warming grill, removable ash tray, adjustable fire tray, access door, vents, side tray and nice big hood handle, plus there were a lot of good reviews on the internet. I have to point out the delivery - although very fast (3 days), the box was smashed and contents were in disarray like a store return. All the parts were there luckily, and fairly easy assembly (4 hrs), so nothing serious to complain about in the end. CharBroil's website says it's discontinued, so presume that's where the good value came in.

I haven't use this grill yet, so I can't really give it a real reveiw. It is what I exspected. It took me over 2 hours to assemble by myself. I recommend getting another person to help.

I can see why this grill is sold online only! If it was in a Home Depot store I would not have bought it. The cover or lid is very flimsy, the fire grate adjustment hooks hit the lid everytime you close it. I have had other Char-Broil grills, but this is the cheapest built I've seen. It's to bad they didn't use a better grade of material. It grills fine and it works good as a smoker. It won't last 10 years like my old Char-Broil. If this how Char-Broil plans to make it's grills? I do think I will go to Weber grills.

This grill was delivered promptly. The instructions were somewhat "minimalist".Assembly was relatively easy but a few of the screw holes needed to be reamed out so that the screws would line up properly. The grill works very well-especially the feature allowing the adjustment of the height of the coals.
