Purchased this product for our office to use as a handy clean up. It has great power, easy to clean and the attachments are great. Decided to go with the Shark after purchasing a Shark upright vacuum and loving it. Home Depot had the best price on this product.

This does what is is supposed to do. I love that you don't have to leave it plugged in in order for it to keep a charge.

This product rotating brush is grea for carpet and stairs. Disappointed as it does not hold a charge.
We followed the directions first time charging it 24hrs then letting it run down and charging again for 16 hours.

This is the third Shark hand vacuum I have purchased over the years, and this is the best one so far. I paid a little more for this model than previous ones. This unit operates at 18V, whereas the previous model I owned operated at 14V. I find this model very powerful, and it has very good suction. I am especially impressed at how well these units clean my back porch/mud room carpets when using the power brush. It also has an attachment for narrow reach areas and one for clothing or furniture.
My previous one lasted about three years before the battery had difficulty holding a charge. I had to have it plugged in all the time. Batteries are replaceable, but I usually end up buying a new unit because of the cost of batteries. It is now five weeks, and I have not yet had to recharge the unit since the initial charge – suction is till strong. I use it several times a week for spot cleaning floors. I am pleased with it so far – a definite improvement over the previous model.

The specifications on the Home Depot web site say that this vacuum uses "Rechargeable Alkaline" batteries. I was looking for one with lithium ion batteries, but couldn't find one in my price range. I thought rechargeable alkaline would be good enough. I was very disappointed when I read the instruction sheet and it said that it uses NiCd batteries. I wanted to specifically avoid NiCd batteries because I have found them to be unsatisfactory in many respects. I haven't used the vacuum, so my ratings are meaningless, but if you're trying to avoid NiCd batteries, don't buy this vacuum.

We have owned at least 5 different "dustbuster type vacs", this SHARK is simply the most powerful. It really SUCKS; dog hair, yes, dog hair, crumbs, even sequins from school projects. When we bought it "online only", we did not know that it came with an motorized beater bar. WOW A GREAT OPTION. I highly recommend this product.

I only have this shark cordless vacumm for two weeks,it hasn't let me down has plenty of suction for those dust bunnies and pet hair and also mess in the kitchen I also used it in the car works like a charm.
I only give it 4 stars because I don't know how long to keep it on charge and if I can keep the vacumm on the base charging station for stand by. was vacuuming my car with it for about 10 min and it died. have to charge for a whole day and get 10 min worth of vac time ? go and buy a metro vac, its same price totaled as this except way better

I purchase this after my sister had one, she has a long haired dog and it cleaned her stairs well. However I have a very short hair dog, it cleans but not as well as I expected. All in all I think it is a good machine.

I have owned a Shark Cordless Handheld Vacuum in the past and needed to replace it after I broke one of the recharging pins off and it no longer would hold a charge. This vacuum was at least 6 years old and had been used daily. So when I needed a new one I once again chose a Shark. This time I chose the 18 volt instead of the 15 volt. I thought the 15 volt was great. The 18 volt is SUPER! Understandably, slightly heavier but not unbearable. Thanks for making a great product Shark.

This should do the job anyone needs done. The motorized brush works well, but may eat up battery life. We have used the vacuum about a month, and have no issues. My personal reservation is the charging instructions. There is no plug it in and forget it...you need to guess when it has about run down, then charge it for 16 hours and unplug it. If I could make an input to the manufacturer, I'd suggest a battery level indicator. Anyone can deal with that, you simply have to be alert. I think it has suction better than the central vacuum in our motorhome, and the beater is better too! Vacuumed our entire rug area, and did the car too, and brought it inside and let it run down which still took a little time! Very happy with the unit, don't be afraid to spend the money.
